VP of Business DevelopmentOur client is seeking Vice President of Business development executive to identify, develop, and manage client IT consulting service opportunities within Federal Civilian Agencies. This position will report to the Senior Vice President of Business Development and will be responsible for identifying, developing, qualifying, and positioning sales opportunities for capture within an assigned territory.
Primary Responsibilities: * Develop a strong understanding of potential customer needs and expectations through direct contact to establish trusted relationships with executives, stakeholders, influencers, and decision makers * Promote services and solution offerings via direct contact, meetings, demonstrations, concept/white papers, industry conferences, and events * Facilitate prospective customers' understanding of capabilities and help shape their perceptions of how service and solution offerings will meet their needs * Proactively develop new leads and contacts via direct prospecting into targeted accounts and build a pipeline that will yield short, mid, and long-term growth objectives * Presenting new opportunities to internal stakeholders to build consensus around capture priorities and investments * Identifying and engaging not only senior executives, but decision makers, stakeholders, users, and influencers at all levels of a targeted client organization * Generating leads, cold calling, and prospecting experience
