Windows Server/Sales Engineer
TEKsystems is searching for an experienced Server Engineer for a permanent opportunity in Tulsa, OK. *****Qualified candidates MUST have casino/gaming industry experience!*****
Job Responsibilities: - Act as a liaison between IT department and casino.
- Recommends and approves all software installs/upgrades. - Executes project plans to completion within time and budget constraints. - Communicates technical issues to various groups. - Manages configuration, set up, and implementation projects. - Provides post-implementation support. - Creates after-action reports for installations to capture lessons learned for future projects. - Participates in audits existing installations for compliance with standards and specifications. - Travel up to 75% is anticipated.
Technical Skills Required: - Strong understanding of Windows client-server architecture, including networking. - SME level Windows server administration, knowledge, and skills. - SQL-Server administration. - Best practices approach to task design and execution. - Windows networking experience: configuration and management. - Cluster server and SAN experience desirable. - Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication & presentation skills. - Must have well developed negotiation, presentation, and conflict management skills. - Ability to keep up with quickly changing technology. - Ability to work independently on customer facing tasks. - Demonstrates detailed knowledge of casino industry. - Demonstrates a high level of troubleshooting abilities.
