    What you'll do...

    As the Principal Data Scientist and Team Lead for the Centralized ADE Data Insights Team, you will play a pivotal role in managing and harnessing data generated from endpoint devices across our organization's IT infrastructure. Your primary focus will be to oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of telemetry data from endpoints, ensuring data integrity, security, and actionable insights.

    About Team:

    Our team is focused on developing a streamlined, dependable company that includes service operations and technology solutions for Finance, People, and Associate Digital Experience (ADE). We also provide a variety of services such as procurement, supplier portfolio management, merchandising master data, and analytics. From developing HR chatbots and virtual assistants to creating invoice solutions and facilitating legal changes, we help drive efficiency across Walmart globally.

    What you'll do:

    1. Leadership and Team Management:

    • Lead and inspire a team of telemetry specialists and data analysts to achieve departmental goals and objectives.

    • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture focused on excellence, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing.

    2. Telemetry Data Strategy:

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for collecting, processing, and analyzing telemetry data from diverse endpoint devices.

    • Define data governance policies, standards, and best practices to ensure data quality, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

    3. Data Collection and Integration:

    • Oversee the design and deployment of data collection mechanisms and agents on endpoint devices to gather telemetry data efficiently and securely.

    • Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to integrate telemetry data streams with centralized monitoring and analytics platforms.

    4. Data Analysis and Insights:

    • Utilize advanced analytics tools and techniques to extract valuable insights from endpoint telemetry data, including performance metrics, security events, and user behavior patterns.

    • Drive the development of predictive models and algorithms to identify anomalies, trends, and emerging threats in real-time.

    5. Performance Optimization and Troubleshooting:

    • Analyze telemetry data to identify performance bottlenecks, system errors, and network issues affecting endpoint devices.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement remediation strategies to optimize system performance and enhance user experience.

    6. Reporting and Communication:

    • Prepare and present comprehensive reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate key findings, trends, and recommendations to stakeholders and senior leadership.

    • Serve as a subject matter expert on endpoint telemetry data and contribute insights to strategic decision-making processes.

    What you'll bring:

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field.

    • Proven experience (> 18 years) in leading data analytics or telemetry teams within a complex IT environment.

    • Deep understanding of endpoint telemetry data sources, protocols, and collection methods.

    • Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, and familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

    • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

    • Experience with cloud-based telemetry solutions and cybersecurity frameworks is a plus.

    The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00-$260,000.00
