Support the execution of high-quality earned programs from conception to placement.
Bring earned media techniques and ideas to client programs to help cut through the news cycle and deliver impactful headlines that drive business performance, including understanding how search, social conversations and audience data can drive storylines and performance.
Uncover trends and creative storytelling opportunities that tap into culturally-relevant moments.
Help develop content strategies and create a variety of high-quality written materials, including creative content, first drafts of communications plans, thoughtful pitch narratives and digital content. Assist with shaping client stories and messages with the goal of integrating clients into the broader news cycle and trending social conversations.
Enthusiastically research and mine for client, competitive and industry trends and activity to ensure FleishmanHillard delivers game-changing ideas and solutions.
Play a key role in handling of day-to-day assignments and work products, including content creation and oversight as well as project and account management, for key clients.
Develop and maintain strong traditional and online media relationships, place newsworthy stories that convey core brand messages, and develop creative written materials that engage target audiences and reflect an understanding of our clients' business.
Identify, cultivate and manage high-level relationships with bloggers, industry experts and influencers. Actively pitch communications to bloggers and influencers with the goal of injecting the client stories into industry conversations.
1-2 years of media relations experience, preferably in an agency setting.
Ideal candidates should be natural 'media hounds' and master storytellers who love the thrill of thepitchand who can craft compelling, culturally relevant story ideas that generate on-message coverage for clients.
Experience drafting press materials.
Knowledge of business, consumer, and lifestyle media. Experience media monitoring, developing and maintaining media relationships.
Understanding of the current media environment and the ability to effectively drive coverage.
Strong written and verbal communications skills with the ability to translate technical information into lay language.
Detail-oriented with proven ability to prioritize, be assertive, multi-task, meet deadlines and handle changing needs of clients without sacrificing quality.
A creative problem solver who brings high levels of energy and enthusiasm to every assignment.
Good interpersonal skills; can work effectively with teams and maintain composure under pressure.
Bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, journalism, English or a similar field.
