  • The Administrator, Enterprise Revenue Cycle Operations and Optimization is the strategic business and operational lead for critical business functions serving the Health System and associated clinical and administrative business departments. The administrator works collaboratively with the Administrator, Enterprise Billing, the Administrator, Enterprise Revenue Cycle Access and the Administrator, Enterprise Clinical Revenue Cycle as the core executive leadership team for the Health System Revenue Cycle.

    The Administrator, Enterprise Revenue Cycle Operations and Optimization is the accountable leader and operational owner of strategy, process improvement, and business plans and their implementations for the Patient Friendly Billing Department, the Business Strategies Group, Financial Counselling, Estimates & Financial Assistance, Revenue Integrity, and Vendor Management. The Administrator has a multi-faceted and critical role for the Health System to drive Revenue Cycle performance through skillful communication and collaboration with multiple stakeholders and customers both within the Revenue Cycle and outside. Operational oversight of employed vendors as well as team members with a focus on supporting a superior patient experience.

    • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement effective strategies to enhance the revenue cycle, ensuring optimal financial performance and operational efficiency.

    • Process Optimization: Evaluate and streamline revenue cycle processes, from patient registration to claims submission and payment posting, to minimize errors and maximize revenue.

    • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a dedicated team of revenue cycle professionals, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.

    • Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of revenue cycle operations and identify areas for improvement.

    • Compliance: Stay abreast of industry regulations and compliance standards, ensuring that revenue cycle processes align with legal and ethical requirements.

    • Technology Integration: Leverage innovative technologies and software to enhance revenue cycle functions, driving automation and efficiency improvements.

    • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, HIT, and clinical departments, to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to revenue cycle management.

    • Professional Development: Implement professional development, succession planning and educational programs to keep the team updated on industry best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging trends in revenue cycle management.

    • Problem Resolution: Proactively identify and address challenges within the revenue cycle, implementing corrective actions to resolve issues and prevent future discrepancies.

    • Reporting and Analysis: Generate comprehensive reports and analyses to provide insights into revenue trends, customer service metrics etc. that support data-driven decision-making.

    Position Compensation Range: $149,801.60 - $239,678.40 Annual

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree required or obtained within 4 years of hire or transfer.

    Experience: 10 years high level management required. Hospital/Revenue Cycle billing in an Academic setting preferred.

    License/Certification: None required.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
