Job Summary :

The PT Air Courier is responsible for escorting and control of shipments from the Department of Treasury to Federal Reserve banks. This position requires the enforcement of rules to protect the premises and property of Brink's . Additionally this role functions to protect and ensure the safety of customer and shipments in transit. . Finally this position requires the selected candidate to be able to provide outstanding customer service to all BGS customers when delivering liability and assisting them with their shipping needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strictly adhere to security procedures during the movement of shipments from one location to another in accordance with the conditions listed below:

• Contact administrative staff each Friday to obtain the schedule for the upcoming week's flight schedule.

• Arrive at the airport two hours prior to the scheduled departure, notifying the Supervisor of BEP Operations of same.

• Check in with the airline to obtain ticket/seat assignment, remaining at the gate locations until airport personnel escort courier plane side with the shipment.

• Obtain appropriate paperwork from the armored truck crew and ensure that ground crews have submitted security documents and air bills to airline cargo personnel.

• Count and inspect each bundle as it is loaded onto the conveyor belt, inspecting for serial number stickers and damaged packaging.

• Board airplane and provide the Captain with Captain's letter, advising the Captain of seat assignment.

• Upon arrival at the destination, obtain airline escort to go plane side.

• Count and inspect each bundle as it is loaded in the armored truck, ensuring that the count is the same number of bundles loaded on the plane at the point of departure.

• B oard the armored truck and escort the shipment to the Federal Reserve Bank, unless directed otherwise by the General Manager, BEP Operations.

• Notify the General Manager or designee of completion of the BEP shipment.

• Immediately notify the General Manager of any discrepancy or unusual occurrence, cooperating with authorities.

• Return to the point of departure.

• Required to physically monitor currency shipment at all times when shipment is not airborne; i.e. stay with shipment until delivered to the Federal Reserve Bank or Brink's approved vault.

• Other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications :

• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age

• A current & valid driver's license .

• Must be able to travel throughout the US via air

• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds on a consistent and regular basis throughout the assigned shift.

• Ability to work weekends and flexible range of hours as needed including holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in freight forwarding / logistics in a secured armed environment

• Experience working closely with customers in the field and supporting a dynamic customer service platform

• Strong attention to detail

• Good basic math skills
