Hopkins is located 7 miles west of Minneapolis, boasting natural surroundings in a suburban environment that also provides quick access to major travel ways and local restaurants that give our community a distinct character. Responsibilities LOCATION: This position can sit at our Corporate Headquarters in Hopkins, Minnesota or Norwalk, Iowa. POSITION SUMMARY: The ARMED Program Manager provides corporate level program management, process direction, and supports projects related to technical education and development activities across the holistic MFI network. This position works in partnership with the MFI CI Teams, MFI ARM Strategic & Tactical Teams, MFI HR, and MFI Recruiting Teams, to develop, implement, & sustain internal technical education and development programs and processes. Additionally, this position works in partnership with the Regional Reliability Specialists and the Plant Maintenance groups to advance the maintenance reliability journey through embedded knowledge. This position may have direct reports in the future. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage all facets of the Asset Reliability & Maintenance Education & Development Program, including program development, execution, and results Provide leadership and supervision in technical projects, mechanical maintenance projects, mechanical skills development, and initiatives related to technical training both internal and external Analyze Technical Skill gaps and lead projects to address the gaps, including building current technical employee skills or what we need to externally source Provide leadership, support, & input working directly with the MFI Recruiting team focused on fitting quality candidates into open MFI technical positions efficiently. Provides leadership support and input to MFI HR and ARM teams to build and implement a true and effective Skill Tracks Program molded to meet the needs of each MFI facility. Provides support and input to MFI HR teams to enhance standardized technical JD's, ensure competitive technical wage structures across regions, facilities, skill tracks at the corporate and plant levels. Leads MFI initiatives around technical training funding via Federal, State, or County grants or when requesting internal MFI funding. Leads MFI initiatives related to Technical and Community College relationship building and establishment of a technical pipeline into MFI facilities. Support projects to implement technical education and development improvements across the Plant Operating Facilities, and support development of new initiative solutions with CI Director. Provide ARMED Program and Process leadership as a core member of the Corporate CI Team. Specify process methods and system enhancements, working with the MFI ARM Strategic Team to produce ARMED PI's, KPI's and Financial results automatically for all plants. Lead enhancement of an MFI learning library for critical equipment in the network by partnering with OEM and LMS system vendors on training/assessment material. Qualifications EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Bachelor of Science in Engineering and/or similar field with 5+ years of related experience 5+ years of Maintenance management or supervisory experience and/or corporate program integration project experience desired Experience in Manufacturing desired 2+ years of experience in teaching or education is preferred Knowledge of food processing and packaging equipment Advanced PC skills: Microsoft Office and SAP Travel is not to exceed 50% and is normally for 3-5 days, each trip.
