  • We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant HR Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a wide range of HR duties, including but not limited to:

    • Conducting screenings and interviews for prospective team members

    • Overseeing the onboarding process from offer letter to start date

    • Manage the application tracking system, screening candidates, and providing recommendations to hiring managers

    • Ensure job openings are effectively publicized through various channels such as our website, social media, and professional organizations

    • Collaborate with management to maintain accurate job descriptions and identify appropriate sourcing methods

    • Organizing and coordinating engagement events for employees

    • Handling employee relations issues and conducting investigations as needed

    • Providing support to managers and employees on HR-related matters

    • Managing a workforce of over 200 employees

    • Collaborating with the HR team to develop and implement HR policies and procedures

    • Create programs to foster a positive work environment for all employees. Support and administer an annual team member satisfaction survey

    • Educate and train managers on HR disciplines to foster productivity and enhance performance

    • Welcome and conduct new team member orientation

    • Oversee maintenance of accurate and up-to-date personnel files and records for all employees

    • Ensure hotel or company hiring standards and applicable laws and regulations are followed

    • Build great relations with outside contacts

    • Help create the Human Resources department budget and control expenses

    • Develop creative ways to inspire and motivate team members to provide guests with a unique experience

    • Work with department managers to develop initiatives to reach service standards and drive continuous improvement in the guest experience.

    • Develop awareness and reputation of the hotel and the brand in the local community and promote team member involvement in local community

    • Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws, policies and procedures

    • Conduct annual HR compliance/standards self-audit

    • Research and investigate all workplace issues to discover facts, identify potential risks to the hotel or company, and facilitate resolution through your employee relations programs. Escalate serious issues.

    • Collect and maintain data from exit interviews, turnover statistics, absenteeism reports to identify trends, training needs, and supervisory issues

    • Other ad-hoc duties - unexpected moments when we have to pull together to get a task done

    Job Requirements

    • High school diploma / secondary education / equivalent

    • 2+ years of experience in HR roles, with a focus on recruitment and employee engagement

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion

    • Detail-oriented and organized, with excellent time management skills

    • Experience working in a fast-paced environment

    • Must speak fluent English

    • Must be able to work on site in Atlanta, GA
