Assistant Vice President - Specialty Lines

Hub International Northeast is seeking an Assistant Vice President for our Specialty Lines Claims Group. This position will perform a full range of claims support activities with new and existing clients including education and working on new opportunities with our sales team.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

• Delivery of our claims value proposition to our customers and relationships;

• Interacting with clients in-person, virtually, writing, and via phone;

• First reporting, claim investigations/fact development, preparing and presentation of claim reviews, documenting claim files, completing claim file activities, retrieving and reviewing insurance contract language, and calculating/recommending loss settlements;

• Engaging in claims advocacy relating to coverage disputes on behalf of HUB clients;

• Consistent conveyance of an exceptional customer experience to clients, customers, and business partners; and

• Adhering to Claims Department Standards while maintaining an appropriate volume of work product.

• A minimum of 5 years experience with handling Specialty Lines claims and/or coverage including E&O, D&O, Cyber, Crime/Fidelity, EPL and Fiduciary claims

• 4 year college degree or equivalent work experience

• Strong organizational skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team

• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in deadline driven environment

• Fluency in and understanding of litigation terms and process is essential

• J.D. preferred and CPCU a plus

Required Education: Bachelor's degree (4-year degree)
