    Lilly Lebanon Plan 2 (LP2) is a new, cutting edge facility for the manufacture of new modalities including Gene Therapy. Located in Lebanon, Indiana, this facility will be Lilly's most technically advanced manufacturing site focused on the delivery of the next wave of innovative products at Lilly. The site will include next-generation manufacturing technologies, advanced data collection and analysis platforms that will deliver improvements in safety and quality, and process performance.

    The CI OpEx Assoc Director is responsible for integrating and connecting the local business (i.e., site or function) with the central CI OpEx business processes and helping the local business plan and deliver to CI OpEx objectives (i.e., strategic and business plan). This position will initially support site readiness from a Operational Excellence Continuous Improvement (CI OpEx) perspective and will transition to be responsible for CI OpEx activities once the site is operational.

    Key Objectives/Results:

    Influence the local organizational CI OpEx uptake and execution

    • Lead the establishment of the CI & OpEx systems (e.g., the Lean Production and Lean Management systems) in preparation for site operations.

    • Assist the organization connect to the value proposition of Lean as an enabler of Operational Excellence;

    • Provide support for the Site/Function CI OpEx Lead Team;

    • Support periodic external benchmarking efforts to remain competitive;

    • Work with local leadership to advance the MQ Operational Excellence vision.

    Facilitate shared learning Opportunities

    • Coordinate and oversee the local Operational Excellence Assessment business processes

    • Help identify and broker support to meet Site/Function Operational Excellence performance needs

    • Help with Operational Excellence talent identification

    • Establish and enhance CI OpEx external connections to develop and sustain the Operational Excellence culture

    • Help the organization learn Lean and Operational Excellence faster by using external and internal connections

    Encourage Execution Excellence

    • Help grow a CI OpEx mentality by encouraging the organization to track and respond to trends in Operational Excellence performance

    • Coordinate and oversee the integration of the local Operational Excellence priorities including gating and reporting

    • Coach local leaders and CI OpEx practitioners on CI OpEx program execution

    • Act as a conduit of information to and from the Center

    • Provide support on Org Change Management, communications and branding for Lean enabling Operational Excellence

    Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor degree or higher in a relevant scientific or technical field

    • Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience with evidence of progression in responsibility.

    • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position

    • Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Master Black Belt or similar level of Lean Coach / Practitioner Certification.

    • Relevant experience in a GMP facility.

    • Pharmaceutical / aseptic experience

    Other Information

    • The position is onsite for the Lilly Lebanon (Indiana) - LP2 manufacturing site

    • Domestic and international travel estimated at 0 - 10% annually

    • Initial location may be at LTC-S in Indianapolis

    • Work outside of normal core business hours may be required at times
