    Compensation Overview

    The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

    Salary Range

    $162,200.00 - $267,700.00

    What Is the Opportunity?

    As AVP, National Accounts Strategic Initiatives, you will contribute to the National Accounts, Risk Management Information Services (RMIS) and Residual Markets Division (RMD) businesses and financial/operational performance by developing strategies, utilizing your program management expertise, and applying your comprehensive understanding of the commercial business to ensure the development of appropriate business strategies and execution of those strategies. You are responsible for co-facilitating development and communication of long-term business strategies and establishing strategic alignment and deployment of program and portfolio management. You will be a key liaison between National Accounts, RMIS, and RMD with the Business Capabilities Office (BCO). This role reports to the President, National Accounts and has a dual reporting relationship into the head of the Business Capabilities Office (BCO). This position will manage a small team responsible for the execution of strategic initiatives.

    What Will You Do?

    • Develop and manage a holistic view of high priority initiatives and operational objectives across National Accounts, RMIS and RMD and will facilitate the development of long-term business strategies.

    • Develop, implement, and execute on strategic priorities and create alignment to maximize the effectiveness of strategic investments and initiatives.

    • Partner closely with the BCO and Business Process Management (BPM) teams to ensure operating model optimization.

    • Play a key role in leading the market strategic planning process, coordinating market assessments (in partnership with Enterprise Market Research (EMR), and ensuring alignment across National Accounts, RMIS and RMD.

    • Lead market prioritization and ensure resource plan adequacy and alignment.

    • Anticipate needs, address issues, and manage key initiatives to advance the business agenda. This will include engaging the National Accounts field organization, service partners, IM&A, etc.

    • Drive complex initiatives involving multiple disciplines and/or ambiguous issues, ensuring consistency and alignment with National Accounts, RMIS and RMD's overall strategy and appetite.

    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

    • 10 or more years of experience in Insurance, Financial Services, program management, strategic initiatives, finance or related discipline.

    • Solid understanding of Commercial Insurance businesses and strategies.

    • Experience working with advanced project-management methodologies.

    • Experience in developing strong, trusted partnerships with senior executives and constituent partners.

    • Able to create, manage and communicate integrated plans/multi-year roadmaps and work with the business to create and drive a solid business case for all initiatives.

    • Strong organization, communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.

    • Deep understanding of and appreciation for business, business intelligence/analytics, and technology components of program management.

    • Strong change leadership skills with the ability to create an inclusive environment, manage conflict and develop solutions to mitigate risk.

    • Strong leadership skills directly manage a team.

    • Ability to establish and maintain an environment where new ideas and solutions are solicited, evaluated, and implemented.

    • Strategic planning expertise and capability to readily see patterns and connections in a complicated environment.

    • Ability to challenge effectively and bring diverging points of view together (business & technical perspectives).

    • Ability to influence at all levels of the organization to drive consensus and gain buy-in.

    What is a Must Have?

    • 8 years of insurance or financial services industry experience with experience in project/program management, strategic initiatives, or related discipline.
