    Intergro, Inc., a Bunzl Distribution company, provides agriculture mulch films, fertilizers, stakes, and related agricultural solutions to customers throughout North America and we are excited to add a Controller to our growing team.

    This is an on-site "seat at the table" role that will direct the financial accounting and reporting activities of the organization and establishes accounting procedures and reporting guidelines. This role will ensure the integrity of the department's policies. The role will also oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash accounting, and preparation of financial statements, coordination with external auditors, and tax filings, and monitors capital expenditures.

    Responsibilities:

    • Business Partner to General Managers, SVP, VP, Directors, and Managers, assists with special projects as necessary.

    • Manage Accounting Staff, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.

    • Assess/define and execute specific opportunities with Organic Gross Margin, Working Capital, and Operating Efficiencies.

    • Responsible for implementation and compliance IFRS, GAAP, and internal controls to ensure the accuracy of financial data and safeguarding of company assets.

    • Responsible for the accounting close process.

    • Prepares periodic and ad hoc financial reporting data as required.

    • Prepares financial statements and other reports for management that summarize results of the operations.

    • Prepares budget variance and trend analysis of profit and loss/balance sheet accounts and various financial/operational ratios.

    • Review analysis with management to assist operating locations in meeting financial and operational objectives.

    • Responsible for coordinating and preparing annual budgets.

    • Coordinates financial audits with external/internal auditors and assists corporate with other financial related regulatory audits.

    • Review, analyze and monitor Bad Debt and Inventory Provision accruals.

    • Other duties as assigned.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or closely related field of study. CPA is a plus.

    • Five (5) or more years of progressive professional experience in accounting and financial analysis.

    • Previous knowledge of the SAGE Enterprise, TM1, HFM, and Blackline desired.

    • Strong understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance

    • Independent and self-motivated, with a proven ability to work with minimal supervision.

    • Ability to perform in a fast-paced and tight deadline environment, while remaining proactive, detail-oriented, resourceful and efficient

    • Strong analytical skills with ability to gather and organize data to drive important decision-making discussions, including reporting, and presenting findings after analyzing information.

    • Advanced Excel (LOOKUPs, Pivot Table, Charts) required.
