    Job Overview

    TE Connectivity's Business Development Teams identify, develop, and implement near-term and long-term business development strategies relating to the development of new products, technologies and services. They identify markets and determine the feasibility of business and product development. Our Teams perform economic analyses on new or improved product opportunities, develop business models and determine market trends to substantiate long-term prospects.

    Responsibilities:

    • Identification and driving of business relevant initiatives for new Automotive SPC applications by collaborating closely with development engineering, FAE/Applications team, and sales

    • Drive activities related to new technology and product concepts including bringing them to the TDP and/or NPD phase, with the long-term goal to transfer products and technologies into the SPC business pipeline

    • Facilitate communication between TE and new technology providers (incl. OEMs, start-ups, consortia, academia) on development efforts and trends for current and next-gen SPC products

    • Evaluate upcoming architectures, applications, and customer processes to provide strategic input to Product Management for future SPC portfolio

    • Translate future market needs and trends into requirements for next-gen SPC products. Support product managers on technical questions in customer interactions

    • Provide business insights (e.g. market estimations and application use cases) for specific innovative ideas

    What your background should look like:

    • Engineer with a bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering or similar

    • At least7 years of experience in in a technical function, business development or product management field

    • Knowledge of the various contact systems and preferences of the individual OEM / HM preferred

    • Very good technical and commercial understanding

    • Ability to develop high-level business cases to support product concepts

    • Proactive, dynamic team player who can independently and seamlessly take on internal, external, and cross-functional activities in the organization

    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including strong ability to collaborate across functions and regions

    COMPENSATION

    • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $148,160 - $222,240 (subject to change dependent on physical location)

    • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

    • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
