    Job Summary:

    Key Responsibilities:

    Business/Financial Duties (85%)

    • Maintain procurement cards and submit monthly reconciliation of purchases.

    • Purchase office supplies and computing equipment through CU Marketplace.

    • Enter expenses from finance reports and allocate them internally to various section subaccounts monthly.

    • Track spending and balances of section accounts, including faculty incentive funds, section-supported research funds, and faculty start-up funds using multiple spreadsheets across various funding streams to accurately document section finances on a monthly basis.

    • Submit Journal Entries between funds as needed.

    • Manage Marketplace orders for the section (purchasing and receiving).

    • Utilize CU Medicine Cor360 to process reimbursements and submit invoices.

    • Support administrative team members with finance-related queries.

    • Manage service center revenue projections and provide financial reports as needed.

    • In conjunction with the Business Manager, provide section gifts, endowed chairs, and post-award grant management. This includes updating monthly balance projection sheets and meeting with faculty/PIs to review grant spending.

    Administrative Duties (15%)

    • Submit mileage reimbursement reports on behalf of faculty.

    • Coordinate domestic and international travel arrangements for faculty and guests (visiting professors, etc.) using Concur.

    • Submit faculty reimbursements (travel and expenses) in Concur.

    • Assist other admin staff with travel arrangements and itinerary building for visiting professors as needed.

    • Maintain a folder of faculty CVs, accomplishments, and promotional portfolios.

    • Provide other administrative support to the faculty and/or section staff as requested.

    • Provide back-up support for other administrative team members.

    Qualifications:

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in any field.

    • Minimum 1 year of experience working in a business support role with duties in finance, budgeting, or accounting.

    Conditions of Employment:

    • Must successfully pass a drug test through Children's Hospital Colorado.

    • Must be willing and able to pass a national criminal background check.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business administration.

    • Skilled in Microsoft Excel, including proficiency with pivot tables, conditional formatting, and formulas.

    • Familiarity with CU, CU Medicine, and CHCO fiscal and grant administration policies and procedures.

    • Experience managing a large volume of financial data.

    • Experience with campus systems including m-Fin, PeopleSoft Finance System, Cognos, Marketplace, Concur Expense Management, InfoEd, MyBI, CLX, etc.

    • Experience with financial database development.

    • Experience with grant management.
