  • JOB SUMMARY

    Position includes primary responsibility for independent administration, scoring, and interpretation of psychological testing for children and adolescents. The psychologist develops recommendations for treatment and links children to education and therapeutic services. Other duties include: counseling families regarding assessment findings and referrals. Test administration is based on an understanding of age, culture, and developmental level. The psychologist documents patient care in the clinical record according to regulatory agency guidelines. Includes supervision and training of non-licensed staff and collaborative work with pediatricians and community organizations.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    Doctorate Degree

    3 Years of Experience

    California State license, or if licensed in another state, application for licensure in California must be submitted within one month of relocation

    BLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by AHA

    Ability and experience working independently, using critical thinking skills and processes to arrive at objective, strategic, results-oriented decisions within the context of patient care and department, division, and organizational priorities

    One year experience testing children with developmental delays

    MacIntosh platforms

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    2 Years of Experience

    Bilingual English/Spanish

    Competency with use of tests: Bayley Scales of Infant Development, Autism Diagnostic Observation

    Schedule (ADOS), and Wechsler Scales

    One year pediatric experience with children under 6 years

    Recent experience in a pediatric setting (within the past 2 years)

    The expected hiring range for this position is $50.43 to $69.35
