    Physical Demands & Work Environment

    • Required to drive, stand, walk, use hands to type, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance, talk, and hear. Body motions and movements include bending, twisting, reaching, stooping, pulling, kneeling, lifting, carrying, and pushing, with or without reasonable accommodation.

    • Lifting and/or moving up to 35 pounds regularly is expected, and up to 75 pounds on occasion, with or without reasonable accommodation.

    • This is not a remote position. This job will be based on the selected job posting location.

    • This job is located in Florida, with exposure to intense sun, intense heat, humidity, rain, thunderstorms, and other adverse weather conditions.

    • Job site conditions may or may not be accessible by vehicle and can include wetlands, swamps, grasslands, and fields with uneven surfaces, sand, brush, and other natural and man-made obstacles.

    Essential Duties and Responsbilities:

    • Communicate with dispatching and/or field supervisor, advising of current job status and locations as required. Cellular phones are to be worn at all times and calls are to be returned immediately.

    • Ability to read/understand project plans and specifications.

    • Prepare proposals for private sector.

    • Ensure projects are on budget and tracks progress.

    • Prepare and track change orders.

    • Maximize profitability for assigned projects by audit project progression.

    • Ensures special inspection/threshold forms are submitted to the client in a timely manner.

    • Maintain client relationships at the appropriate level reinforcing UES' commitment to continuously address their needs and interests.

    • Work collaboratively with outside parties (i.e. client, owner rep, project team, GC, etc.) to accomplish client goals.

    • Promote positive contractor relations by dealing professionally and fairly with all subcontractors and vendors instilling this philosophy in the project team at all times.

    • Report data in a complete, timely, and understandable fashion.

    • Ensure that project requirements are met and compliant with project specifications, requirements, and company policies or procedures.

    • Complete daily time and labor reports in accordance with company policy.

    • Train field and office personnel.

    • Approves invoices prior to Billing Team sending them to clients.

    • May act as liaison between billing team and client to assists with collections Over 120 Days.

    • Attend on-site and branch meetings, when required.

    • Follow all company safety procedures and policies.

    • Regular attendance is required.

    • Other duties may be assigned.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Valid Florida Driver's License with an acceptable driving record (in accordance with our Driver's License and Motor Vehicle Record Check Criteria), may or may not be required to perform the duties and responsibilities of the role

    • Ability to pass a background check screening in accordance with Florida's Jessica Lunsford Act (or equivalent state classification)

    • BS in Civil Engineering or a related field from accredited university

    • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) designation required or ability to obtain within 4 months

    • Relevant experience in engineering, project management, or a related field is preferred

    • Knowledge of engineering principles, practices and design methodologies

    • Familiarity in project management software and tools (e.g. MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD)

    • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and building codes

    • Proficient understanding of Microsoft Office products

    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 1-3 years' experience in construction material testing, geotechnical, geology, environmental engineering and/or related experience

    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with stakeholders, team members, clients and agencies

    • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to lead project teams, resolve conflicts, and motivate team members to achieve project goals

    • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
