  • Summary

    • The Conference/Event Security Coordinator serves as the lead in the execution of MDA conferences/meetings/tests and special events. Supports various MDA domestic and international sponsored conference events with access control and provides a security protective corridor to the event and participants.

    Responsibilities

    • Coordinates with various entities (Protocol, Public Affairs, MDA Project Offices, AT/FP, NDIA, MDA leadership, MDA DSS Government oversight contacts, external agencies (LE, Fire, Medical, on-site security, other event staff, etc.) in a professional and appropriate manner to provide professional support to the event.

    • Ensures each event is always sufficiently staffed with trained and certified access control personnel.

    • Oversees, coordinates with, and directs the EACS staff to ensure all EACS supported conferences, events, tests, and special functions are executed in an efficient, consistent, and professional manner. Conference support requirements range from:

    • Develop database rosters.

    • Provide conference and/or event identification badge/authorization pass development, preparation, and issuance.

    • Participate in site surveys, as well as other planning/coordination activities.

    • Develop and implement access control security plans.

    • Aid with receipt/processing of participant security clearance information (VARS)

    • Implement access control/security measures to include execution of pre-entry screenings (e.g., magnetometers sweep, article inspections, x-ray scans, etc.)

    • Plan for and execute the deployment, monitoring and assessing of intrusion detection sensor system for perimeter portals (doors, windows, etc.)

    • Prepare attendee access rosters.

    • Determine manpower requirements.

    • Provides after action reports, statistical summaries, and appropriate briefing presentations as required.

    Qualifications

    You'll Bring These Qualifications:

    • Minimum High School Diploma or GED

    • Able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

    • Certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) & Automated External Defibrillators (AED) certified (100%) and trained in Red Cross First Aid.

    • Obtain and maintain Secret security clearance.

    • Obtain and maintain U.S. Passport

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, and Outlook.
