    Connected Vehicle Platform & Product (CVPP) Department is a global team within Ford Mobility group responsible for architecture, systems engineering, development, validation, and the ongoing operations of connected vehicles, autonomous vehicles (AV), and electrification connectivity features.

    What we do

    CVPP Team is a specialized cross-functional design team within CVPP responsible for the end-to-end architecture of best-in-class connected vehicle ecosystem and a connectivity fabric for seamless delivery of connected features. We drive smart mobility business and technology innovation to aid Ford's connectivity vision and growth strategies in new industry technologies, such as electrification and AV.

    Connected Vehicle Platform and Product Team is looking for Full-Stack developers that embrace Lean/Agile and Extreme Programming practices. In this environment the Software Engineer is expected to work in a pair developing working, tested code across the full stack of technologies. They will collaborate directly and continuously with product managers and designers, and business partners to release early and often.



    • A Product Manager will lead key product work streams in support of new product concepts, requirements, business and strategic plans in support of Ford's Connected vehicle products, platform and connected consumer experiences

    • Develops, maintains and represents consumer point of view in assessing needs & opportunity for connected ownership experiences

    • Develops POV with competitive benchmarking of great digital customer experiences/companies

    • Represents POV within cross-functional product development (research, design, software development) team in delivery of new connected consumer products

    • Leads coordination and execution of cross-team research activities, including vendor coordination, recruiting, execution

    • Works with a high level of comfort in matrixed organizations, and in close partnership with cross-functional colleagues

    • Accesses and leverages industry ecosystems, partner networks

    • Operates with an agile, consumer-centric perspective in pursuit of new opportunity

    • Levers insight and shares new opportunities in support of cultural transformation

    • Supports ecosystem outreach, partner assessment and in identifying and analyzing new opportunity

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree

    • 3+ years of experience with Agile Software Development Methodology or software engineering methodologies

    • 3+ years of experience in consumer research, product management, software architecture and/or Business Analysis

    • 3+ years of experience working within cross-functional teams

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Highly effective communicator, ability to work with a team comprised of internal and external stakeholders across professional levels

    • Experience working laterally across multiple business projects simultaneously

    • Bias for action - identifies and acts on both short- and long-term goals in achieving results

    • Comfortable with ambiguity - remain focused in spite of unexpected challenges; continues to seek a path forward

    • Strong aptitude for critical thinking and analysis - able to translate strategic plans into executable actions

    • Experience in developing & delivering creating and communicating new business model opportunities

    • Experience and understanding of the venture community and startup ecosystem

    • Well-versed in the importance of continuous improvement and the importance of customer validation
