    Our client is the leading manufacturer of HVAC equipment in the US. They are looking for a Project Manager to support their turnkey construction team. Candidates must have at least 5 years of HVAC construction project management experience.

    The Construction Project Manager is responsible for project financials, administration, implementation, management, and customer satisfaction for all assigned projects. They lead the project team through all facets of the project and is the established point of contact for stakeholders. The Construction Project Manager manages a portfolio of projects that could contain both smaller and larger multi- building or complex construction projects. Construction Project Manager is knowledgeable on current job market and pricing strategies and has the ability to support sales functions with developing scope.

    Type of projects: Commercial retrofit air conditioning systems, HVAC (schools, commercial buildings, govt buildings, etc).

    This role might be provided a company vehicle and if not, mileage will be expensed.

    Responsibilities

    • Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and developing communication plans with both internal and external stakeholders to provide timely project updates

    • Leads all aspects of project administration including, responsibility for knowledge of and adherence to contract penalty clauses and / or liquidated damages, analyzing reporting to identify project deficiencies and provides guidance on corrective actions, managing projects to business compliance, project documentation, safety guidelines, and maneuvering through governing agencies requirements including the state, city, county, federal and local level

    • Financially manages all aspects of projects including cash flow, monthly forecasted cost / revenue, forecasted cost at completion, monitoring expenses, collections support, applied cost, and oversees preparation and communications for monthly backlog review with leaders.

    • Validate project scope, cost, schedule by reviewing contract documents, holding internal meetings and establishing customer expectations, and identify risks and developing mitigation plans

    • Utilizes properly qualified subcontractors, oversees subcontractor RFQ process, awards subcontracts, manages subcontractor execution, and collaborates with subcontractors to establish communication guidelines for project progress, project meetings, billing expectations and project safety.

    • Create and maintain project schedules utilizing tasks, dependencies, milestones

    Must Have

    • HS Diploma/GED required

    • HVAC/Mechanical experience required - just have to have knowledge of the basics

    • Project value experience: $500K to $1.5M (HVAC portion) / Overall projects are typically up to $20M

    • Project types: FAMU/Educational, Government, Private sector

    • Must be able to manage multiple projects at once; With Trane will manage 10 to 12 at one time (not required, but ideally can manage 5+)

    • Must be willing to be onsite

    • OSHA 10 required (OSHA 30 Training is provided)

    • Procore / Microsoft Office / Microsoft Project - This isn't all required but ideal

    • Must have knowledge of financials - budgets/change orders/etc.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications:

    • Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or Construction Project Management Degree

    • OSHA 30 certification - a strong asset - If required, they will facilitate

    Work Environment

    • Candidate will be need to be local to the Central of NE Florida area.

    • Candidate will also need to be open to travel if the backlog is complete for the area and they will need to support projects outside of the area.

    • Will be 50/50 managing project sites and in the office.

    • Most projects will be in the greater Jacksonville area but must be open to Tallahassee, Gainesville, Daytona areas.
