  • Description We are offering a position for a Controller in the Construction industry based in Arcadia, Indiana, United States. This role involves managing various accounting functions, ensuring accuracy in general ledger entries, and overseeing financial reporting and budgeting processes. The Controller will also play a significant role in the month-end close process and maintaining the budget processes.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage construction accounting operations, including the review of journal entries, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and statutory reporting

    • Ensure accuracy and effectiveness in all accounting tasks

    • Oversee the month-end closing process and provide on-time and accurate financial statements

    • Conduct account reconciliation activities to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal regulations and accepted accounting principles

    • Supervise the general ledger preparation and ensure it is accurate, complete, and properly classified

    • Oversee the financial reporting process and ensure timely and accurate delivery of financial reports to management

    • Develop and maintain budgeting processes to enhance cost management and productivity

    • Manage the use of Accounting Software Systems to simplify processes

    • Ensure compliance with all internal processes and regulatory requirements

    • Collaborate with other team members to support overall department goals and objectives. Requirements - Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller role or similar position

    • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

    • Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions

    • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

    • Familiarity with Budget Processes

    • Experience in the construction industry is a plus

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

    • Exceptional communication and leadership skills

    • Strong analytical and strategic planning abilities

    • Ability to adhere to strict deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

    • CPA or CMA certification is preferred

    • Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
