  • Description

    Robert Half Management Resources is looking for an Interim Controller that will play a pivotal role in managing the financial operations for one of our manufacturing clients. This position requires strong leadership skills to manage a small team effectively and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage and oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.

    • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements, for corporate review.

    • Coordinate with corporate finance teams to ensure compliance with reporting requirements and assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.

    • Lead the preparation and analysis of variance reports to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.

    • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy in financial transactions.

    • Manage the audit process and serve as the primary point of contact for auditors during annual and periodic audits.

    • Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making and drive operational efficiency.

    • Mentor and develop accounting staff to ensure a high level of performance and professional growth within the team.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.

    • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

    • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting requirements.

    • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.

    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present financial information to stakeholders.

    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

    • Experience in manufacturing or related industries is a plus.
