    Position Overview

    We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to join our team in the hospitality industry. The Controller will oversee all financial aspects of our operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, finance, and hospitality management, with the ability to analyze financial data, develop budgets, and provide strategic insights to drive business growth.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with GAAP standards.

    • Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop annual budgets and financial forecasts, working closely with department heads to align financial goals with operational objectives.

    • Financial Analysis: Conduct regular analysis of financial performance, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Provide actionable insights to management to optimize revenue and control costs.

    • Cash Management: Manage cash flow, including monitoring accounts receivable and accounts payable, optimizing working capital, and ensuring timely payments to vendors and suppliers.

    • Internal Controls: Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets, ensure compliance with regulations, and mitigate financial risks.

    • Tax Compliance: Oversee tax planning and compliance activities, including preparation of tax returns and coordination with external tax advisors.

    • Audit Coordination: Coordinate annual audits with external auditors, ensuring timely completion and resolution of any audit findings.

    • Financial Systems: Evaluate and implement financial systems and software to streamline processes and enhance efficiency in financial reporting and analysis.

    • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and professional development.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.

    • Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in the hospitality industry.

    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP compliance.

    • Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.

    • Experience with financial systems and software, such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

    • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.

    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

    • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with a track record of developing and motivating high-performing teams.
