    Job Title: Controls Superintendent

    Job Summary: The Superintendent is responsible for running day-to-day operations on a job site and for controlling the short-term schedule. The Superintendent also plays a key role in important quality control and subcontractor coordination responsibilities.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Receive all pertinent project information from Project Manager.

    • Become familiar with plans, specifications, site, local codes, local officials, and inspection procedures.

    • Coordinate appropriate staff per job, and when necessary and in coordination with Human Resources, hire additional staff.

    • Attend preconstruction meetings.

    • Provide guidance on activities including set-up, work in-place, and project closeout/demobilization

    • In coordination with the department head and with Human Resources, monitor and follow up on field staff performance brining in Human Resources when necessary for performance issues.

    • Participate in site orientation training.

    • Review and approve craft worker certifications and trainings for specialty craft roles

    • Monitor and address issues within weekly labor reports

    • Set up field office (as necessary), communications and temporary services as required.

    • Assist Project Manager in developing the project schedule.

    • Purchase supplies and equipment as needed for jobs.

    • Schedule all employees, subcontractors and deliveries as needed so as to not adversely impact the project schedule.

    • Manage quality control of self-perform and subcontractors' work.

    • Schedule and attend all required inspections.

    • Complete and submit all paperwork as required.

    • Establish and maintain benchmarks and reference points for ongoing layout of work.

    • Work with job site representative and/or the subcontractors to resolve any conflicts that may arise and communicate any such conflicts immediately to Project Manager.

    • In coordination with the Safety Director, communicate, implement, and enforce company safety policy as it pertains to assigned project.

    • Support Safety Director with site safety audits.

    • Coordinate with equipment facility and outside equipment providers for project equipment; i.e. cranes, trailers, trucks, Conexus, etc.

    • Attend job meetings and/or any other meetings as may be required for the successful and timely completion of current project.

    • Attend walk through at job completion.

    • Assure all tools from job site are accounted for.

    • In coordination with the Safety Director, facilitate weekly safety meetings at job site.

    • Collect, review and submit all field staff time cards weekly.

    • Close out field office and project as necessary.

    • Participates in department meetings as requested

    • Performs additional assignments as requested and maintains a teamwork attitude.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Minimum 5 years construction supervision experience.

    • Completed Apprenticeship Program

    • Current Driver's license

    • Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations

    • Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices.
