    Ford's Global Data, Insights and Analytics (GDI&A) organization is a rapidly expanding group within Ford Motor Company that supports all of our skill teams (e.g. Purchasing, Product Development, Marketing & Sales, Manufacturing, Finance, etc.). We are seeking a Data Quality Director to lead a team responsible for managing data quality at the enterprise level to make data usable for Ford's data strategy, enabling Digital Network capabilities and powers AI/ML, Customer Experience, Fitness and Smart Vehicles in a Smart World.



    Leads a team responsible for managing data quality at the enterprise level to make data usable for Ford's data strategy, enabling Digital Network capabilities and powers AI/ML, Customer Experience, Fitness and Smart Vehicles in a Smart World.

    • Coordinate with analytics teams and within Data Operations to insure that customer and business-facing data products, dashboards and analytics deliverables are delivered on time without defects

    • Partner with GDIA Tech teams to manage timelines and deliverables

    • Tool and capability POCs

    • Tool enhancements and implementations

    • Leads MDM implementation for enterprise data domains

    • Standard taxonomy for data from connected vehicles

    • Supports ERP initiatives with master data for operational domains

    • Coordinates Customer MDM with Identity Resolution lead

    • Manage the Enterprise Data Catalog to make data accessible and understandable for the enterprise

    • Talent Development of team members to build a high performing team globally, including Chennai integration

    • Establish and maintain relationships with industry groups, digital leaders, peers in other organizations and organizations within Ford, to benchmark and improve data management practices.

    • Effective communication to collaborate and influence to deliver high quality data in areas without direct control

    • Backup for the Director, Data Operations and Privacy


    • Works directly across GDI&A to insure that data quality supports business commitments; troubleshoots issues as part of a cross-functional team

    • Works extensively with IT partners, OGC, AI/ML to enable Digital Network through enterprise data use

    • Partners with the Corporate Strategy team to integrate Data Strategy with other strategic initiatives


    • Works with business partners and advisors who are subject matter experts to implement and manage best in class data quality

    Will work with all skill teams and business units including both Automotive and Mobility businesses, and Corporate Strategy.

    Works with other organizations responsible for data management, data access and data use. Functions include: data management, consultation, project design, project execution, interpretation of results, documentation of data assets, and handoff to analytics teams in GDIA and skill teams. Geography - Global

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree

    • 3+ years of experience leading and developing a multi-level team of 40+ employees

    • 15+ years of professional experience

    • Data management and program management

    • Communication and Change Management

    • Responsibility for delivering data products to drive direct or indirect revenue

    • Experience working and communicating across an enterprise, including senior executives and all forms of communication - formal presentations, meetings, and email

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Master's Degree in Economics, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Marketing, Business Systems or MBA with specialization in marketing or research; or work equivalent.

    • Experience preferred in

    • Data Governance

    • Background in IT; either working with IT partners or as part of an IT team

    • Strong collaboration and influencing skills, and the ability to energize a cross-functional team

    • Demonstrated problem formulation with the ability to take complex problems and break them down to create and implement an action plan

    • Communicate findings to make data analysis actionable and understandable by business partners, including IT and analytics

    • Ability to lead, plan, develop, and implement projects / programs that generate cost savings and efficiencies and the courage to stop those that do not

    • Equally comfortable in a leading or supporting role depending on the needs of the initiative
