  • Director, Enterprise Risk New Products and Business Activities

    The Director, Risk Management is responsible for the development and maintenance of the Enterprise Risk New Products and Business Activities ("NPBA") Program. The incumbent will ensure business unit risk management accountability, implementation and maintenance of a robust risk process and consistent risk governance structure across the Company.

    • Maintain a mature NPBA Program across Santander US by providing oversight to drive consistency across US subsidiaries and to ensure all NPBA Program requirements are met.

    • Manage the day-to-day New Products and Business Activities Program ("NPBA") for Santander Consumer and Santander Bank N.A. products and services to ensure robust risk identification and responsible growth.

    • Partner closely with the Change Management Office to ensure NPBA Program alignment and adheres to the broader Change Management Process.

    • Ensures adherence to the policies and procedures established by the company.

    • Manages policy, standard definition and monitoring of policy, standard implementation, ensuring harmonization and consistency of risk policies.

    • Monitors and manages risk/exposure and compliance with the company's policies.

    • Identifies, manages and reports on the company's risk areas.

    • Evaluates the adequacy and effectiveness of data, document retention, and monitors systems.

    • Manages the development and deployment of the policies, procedures and tools required to effectively manage and oversee Risk framework.

    • Builds strong relationships with multiple stakeholders (T&. O, Compliance, Risk, Retail Network..) through adequate management routines, reports, inspections and governance to ensure that accountabilities are met.

    • Ensures compliance to government regulations, policies & procedures, and management policies.

    • Advises on remediation of regulatory findings, correction of any inconsistencies and monitors resolution.

    Qualifications

    • Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

    • Work Experience: 9+ years in Risk Management

    • Demonstrated expertise in risk management segment, or ability to perform at an advanced level of competence.

    • Advanced knowledge of risk management best practices and how to implement them.

    • Demonstrated knowledge of risk management needs and designing new solutions based on detailed analysis.

    • Commercial awareness.

    • Ability to direct, train and guide peers, subordinates and management.

    • Ability to handle conflict resolution with other groups
