    Amentum is seeking a Director of Income Tax Reporting, that is passionate, energetic, a leader and has a willingness to colloborate. This position may telework. The Director Tax Reporting will report to the Vice President, Tax , and will be responsible for managing Amentum's global tax provision. This role will be instrumental in building Amentum's newly created tax function and is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in an extremely dynamic, diverse, and fast-paced environment.

    Essential responsibilities include:

    • Lead the global ASC 740 tax provision processes, from planning and forecasting through to calculations, recording, analysis and reporting

    • Ensure that the group's tax accounting processes, documentation and related systems comply with Sarbanes Oxley internal control requirements

    • Maintain relationships with stakeholders, including, controller's office, FP&A, and treasury, as well as external parties such as statutory auditors

    • Automate and streamline tax accounting processes and delivery schedule, including implementation/ownership of OneSource Tax Provision (OTP_

    • Work closely with Director of Tax Compliance, to ensure process consistency and perform return reviews as assigned.

    • Assist with other tax department duties, including and not limited to tax compliance, special projects, M&A, tax audits and controversy as needed.

    • Assist with mentoring, the tax team's development of technical skills, and maintaining and enhancing team dynamics

    • Oversee the Manager of Domestic Income Tax as well as help manage tax support teams based in Amentum's shared service center

    • Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.

    • CPA required. 10+ years of relevant tax experience in a public accounting firm and/or multi-national public company

    • Advanced ASC 740 knowledge and relevant SEC reporting experience

    • Advanced Excel skills

    • OneSource Tax Compliance and Provision (OTP & OIT) experience preferred

    • Strong analytical thinking and writing skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

    • A proven track record of applying stakeholder management and communication skills to influence and/or drive initiatives across the organization.

    • Must be willing to work some weekends and evenings as required to meet reporting deadlines and to collaborate with jurisdictions various time zones

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Master's degree in relevant field is preferred
