Director, NPD Program Management

Leader of the New Product Development (NPD) Program Management team reporting to the Director of AMG Program Management.

This position is for a leader located in the Scottsdale office who will hire and manage a team of program managers based in Bangalore, India. The employees reporting to this leader are each responsible for cross functional leadership of the product development process for multiple programs at any given time. While there are many globally dispersed functional groups that own and deliver significant portions towards the development of our products, the program managers are the central logistical contact for a given product that the organization looks to for driving accountability and results. They lead throughout the product development process: feasibility, planning, design, product validation, qualification, sampling, and ramp. They develop and maintain detailed program schedules, identify, and address gaps, and proactively assess and mitigate risk throughout the execution.

This leader of the program management team will be responsible for hiring a staff of approximately 10 program managers to support the AMG Center of Excellence in Bangalore, India. This leader not only will coach and mentor the program managers, but also make significant contribution towards improvement of our product development processes by identifying weaknesses and working with various groups in the organization to implement sustainable improvements. This manager must be willing to work flexible hours to support team activities in both Scottsdale and Bangalore. Up to 20% international travel will be required as well.
