    Responsibilities

    We are offering to qualified and experienced candidates a sign-on bonus not to exceed 10% of salary for this position.

    Position Summary:

    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and committed Director of Behavioral Health. We are looking for someone who has experience leading inpatient psychiatric services for an acute-care Hospital with patients coming in through the ER.

    As our Director you will lead the nursing practice and patient care operations in our 29-bed acute inpatient psychiatric unit. In this role, you will promote clinical excellence and evidence-based practice while fostering a healthy work environment in which team-based patient-centered care can flourish. You will direct 55 FTEs and oversee staff development, training, and well-being of the staff, and partner with our amazing unit chiefs and other clinical leaders who encourage and support continuous growth in a collaborative environment. You will also manage budgets, allocate resources, regularly assess unit operations, and identify process improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and patient experience.

    Principal Duties and Accountabilities:

    • Oversees the operations of the Nursing department, including the delivery of nursing services.

    • Actively participates in the Performance Improvement and Risk Management programs.

    • Interprets accreditation and regulatory standards and implements processes to ensure compliance.

    • Develop and implement goals, policies, and protocols.

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (e.g. BSN) or equivalent education and experience and Master's degree in nursing or other-related field (e.g., MSN/MBA/MHA).

    • Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience and two (2) years of leadership experience.

    Licensure:

    • Registered Nursing License (RN) in state of practice, Basic Life Support (BLS), other credentials or modules may be required.

    $68.46 - $99.27 /hour
