Director of Global Sourcing

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Director of Global Sourcing to join a Large Manufacturing clients corporate office in the Lexington, KY. This candidate will mentor and develop the current team in place providing guidance in areas such as cost evaluations, strategic supplier reviews, obsolete inventory disposition and item consolidation. They will develop and support relationships with strategic suppliers to ensure quality consumer products are manufacturing in time at the best possible cost. The candidate will be responsible for leading contract negotiations and contract discussions in relation to key company contracts. The ideal candidate will be able to lead sourcing strategies across different teams to ensure the company goals and targets are met. They will be responsible for hitting company financial goals regarding, competitive sourcing, competitive bidding, power buying, evaluating opportunities such as leveraging logistical advantages, etc. In this role the person will follow existing processes and procedures while also develop new processes to enhance the procurement process company wide. This is a five day a week onsite role in Lexington, Kentucky.

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field

• 2+ Years experience in a Director level role heavily involved in Sourcing

• 6+ Years experience within Global Strategic Sourcing

• Strong career experience in S2P (Source to Pay) as opposed to P2P (Procure to Pay) - ISM or APICS Certification

• Experience in Manufacturing or Consumer Good Industry

• Microsoft Dynamics Experience null
