    Schedule: Full Time

    Shift : 40 hours/week; Typical business hours

    Location: AdventHealth Regional Support - Office will be at the LaGrange hospital but could be some travel on occasion to all 4 hospital sites

    Summary of the role you'll contribute:

    The Director of Strategic Program Management is responsible for developing and leading comprehensive methods to direct the execution of multiple and interrelated programs and top initiatives required for the achievement of the Great Lake Region's (GLR) strategic vision through management at the direction of the Regional CEO of GLR. This critical role is accountable for system wide program oversight, prioritized escalation, timeline visibility and knowledge transfer. Collaborates with executives and leaders across all corporate functions and operational divisions to facilitate, coordinate and implement the portfolio of strategic initiatives that have been prioritized by the Regional CEO and participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

    PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

    Scope of Responsibility :

    • Accountable for system wide program oversight, prioritized escalation, timeline visibility and knowledge transfer.

    • Collaborates with executives and leaders across all corporate functions and operational divisions to facilitate, coordinate and implement the portfolio of strategic initiatives that have been prioritized by the Regional CEO

    • Represents the CEO and the organization by attending defined meetings and functions.

    Operating & Capital Budget/Financial Responsibility :

    • Supports the CEO in completion of critical initiatives including budgets, talent reviews, presentations to the Board, and AHS assignments.

    • Research and obtain relevant market, demographic, geographic, regulatory and industry data to develop cogent assessments of external business and market factors, in concert with internal financial and operational models and projections.

    Strategic Planning Responsibility :

    • Leads project teams that develop strategies and plans for new or emerging initiatives under the leadership of the CEO or a senior executive sponsor. Includes partnering on the developing of proposals that will meet the CEO's expectations and standards.

    • Develop communication strategies for major initiatives and serve as a conduit of information and communication from the office of the Chief Executive Officer as applicable, to senior leaders, departments, and external stakeholders, in conjunction with the Corporate Communications team, to the organization at-large.

    Performance Improvement Responsibility :

    • Provide strategic support as needed to the Chief Executive Officer to create an environment that is mission focused and conducive to the development of complementary growth strategies that result in increased market share for the Great Lake Region and AdventHealth System.

    • Actively scans and seeks out role model organizational practices and processes both from within and outside of health care industry and then works with senior leadership to deploy to operations.

    Staffing/Labor/Supervisory Responsibility :

    • Responsible for program leadership on behalf of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), working closely with the Executive Sponsors and project teams of GLR strategic initiatives, the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) and operational leaders in the Great Lakes Region .

    • Integrates strategy developed into operations and organizational processes; serving as the project leader and chief executor of major management meetings.

    • Manages agendas by collecting, prioritizing and completing follow-up activities related to agenda items by coordinating and communicating with senior executives and other leaders. Manages the calendar of the Cabinet to ensure that strategic topics are brought for review in alignment with project timelines.

    • Identifies and respond to issues and risks, own and provide expedient follow through to action or resolution as applicable, communicating accordingly and appropriately.

    Qualifications

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED :

    • Strong commitment to AHS mission and ethics

    • Exceptional leadership and people management skills including decision-making, team-building, motivation and conflict resolution

    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

    • Effective computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel

    • Ability to work in a matrix-management environment to achieve organizational goals

    • Ability to build rapport and work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams across department lines and work effectively with diverse populations

    Knowledge & Skills Preferred :

    • Strong understanding/knowledge of change management and/or organizational behavior theory/experience

    • Working knowledge of performance improvement methodologies such as Total Quality Management, Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA), Six Sigma, or Lean Thinking

    EDUCATION REQUIRED :

    • Bachelor's Degree in business, healthcare or related field

    Education Preferred :

    • Master's Degree in Health Care Administration / Master of Business Administration with a health administration emphasis.

    EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :

    • Seven (7) years of business experience in such areas as hospital administration, strategic planning, business, operational, and financial planning.

    • Five (5) years of management/leadership experience.

    Experience Preferred :

    • Experience in leading organizational change

    • Experience in performance management
