    Micron's Global Communications team is seeking a Director to lead its Product and Technology Communications team. This critical role will orchestrate the development and execution of communications programs that help differentiate Micron's product and technology leadership across multiple end markets.

    You will be an authority with a track record of crafting positive news cycles around product launches and securing evergreen product and technology leadership story opportunities. You will operate in a highly cross-functional environment, working closely with Micron's coordinated marketing leads to develop effective communications strategies and engage with executives and product marketing leads across all business units and R&D and engineering functions.

    With a passion and skill for storytelling, this role will set the vision for advancing awareness and understanding of Micron's technology leadership and product differentiation, and the delivery of high-quality work and results!

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement effective PR, industry analyst and influencers strategies to promote Micron's product and technology leadership.

    • Build and maintain relationships with journalists, industry analysts and influencers.

    • Lead a team of product PR professionals, providing strategic direction, delegating authority and prioritizing work; mentor and lead individual team members for dedication and detailed execution.

    • Build and implement plans that use the key voices of our executives to help land stories and meet communications objectives.

    • Partner closely with Global Communications Staff peers, Corporate Thought Leadership and Marketing to turn messaging into compelling news narratives.

    • Serve as a senior media advisor on technology press, analysts and influencers to the broader team.

    • Partner with and advise collaborators on product communications standard methodologies to create impactful stories.

    • Work with marketing and business units to mine stories and identify assets to secure media results.

    • Create comprehensive communications strategies that result in stories landing outside of product launches.

    • Draft and deliver impactful press releases.

    • Guide and coach executives in preparation for media engagements.

    • Own the product and communication budget and optimize agency resources to deliver value and targeted results aligned with business objectives.

    • Leverage media supervising tools to drive insights, track metrics, and report on progress against goals on a quarterly basis.

    Skills and Qualifications

    • 10+ years of experience working in communications roles in semiconductors.

    • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in mass communications, public relations, journalism, marketing.

    • Strong understanding of the semiconductor industry and the key technology trends that are driving the memory and storage business.

    • Experience building and maintaining positive relationships with media, industry analysts and influencers within the semiconductor industry.

    • Strong storytelling skills and the ability to drive technology leadership stories through earned media results.

    • Proven success in creating and driving technology communications strategies for global audiences,

    • Ability to optimally influence internal partners on implementing communications standard methodologies.

    • Team management capabilities.

    • Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills.

    • Strong executive presence with proven track record to present ideas and apply leadership through influence to facilitate decision-making amongst senior leaders.

    • Ability to partner with global collaborators and other functions in a highly matrixed organization.

    • Sound problem identification, judgment, resolution, and decision-making skills.

    • Strong desire and commitment to deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment with consistency, and push self and others to innovate.

    • Capability shifting priorities with agility.

    The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

    $154,000.00 - $309,000.00

    Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
