Display Strategic Sourcing Manager

Summary:

The Display Strategic Sourcing Team operates swiftly and capitalizes on vital partnerships to foster technical innovation, maintain high quality standards, and achieve cost savings through customized supply chain management. As a Display Global Strategic Sourcing Manager (GSM), you will serve as the primary commercial contact for Display within MR/Wearable hardware products sourcing across Meta's supply base while creating optionality in sources of supply when necessary. Your sourcing activities will encompass identifying Display alternatives, devising and spearheading negotiation and sourcing strategies, collaborating with Meta Display Engineering teams to establish a business and technology roadmap aligned with Meta's hardware objectives, and making strategic sourcing decisions ~~~ close collaboration with the Display Engineering Team and other Display cross-functional teams, you will lead commercial engagements for prototype sourcing and development during new product development and introduction stages. Additionally, you will oversee the implementation of chosen solutions and technologies and manage suppliers, focusing on sourcing advanced technologies. Other responsibilities include handling contracts, negotiations, joint development models, IP, licensing, and developing global commodity and supply chain strategies to help Meta meet time-to-development and time-to-production targets while managing overall landed costs. This role answers to the Director of Display Strategic Sourcing.

Required Skills:

Display Strategic Sourcing Manager Responsibilities

1. Conduct sourcing activities for components, solutions, and manufacturing services associated with Meta products from the early stages of technology development to mass production and end-of-life phases.

2. Continuously develop new technologies and establish crucial partnerships while implementing optimal sourcing strategies, encompassing cost, supply, contractual, and relationship management aspects.

3. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to explore comprehensive solutions for highly complex operational challenges.

4. Create tools and processes to assess and make decisions based on critical sourcing metrics.

5. Analyze industry trends and research the industry/commodity landscape to gain a competitive edge.

6. Identify potential areas for workflow efficiency improvements.

7. Lead Meta's short-term/long-term supplier management strategy for LCD & OLED (including uOLED).

8. Manage CAPEX / OPEX.

9. Present project updates, findings, and results to management.

10. Travel up to 20% of the time

11. 18% to various unanticipated international locations and 2% to other unforeseen domestic sites.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical field.

2. 3+ years of experience in the consumer electronics or tech industry and experience scaling technologies, having taken a component or module or system from concept stage into mass production.

3. Experience building and influencing relationships at suppliers executives level with a holistic view on supplier's core skills, enabling future collaboration in new/uncharted technology domains, to consolidate leverage for Meta.

4. Factory management and operations experience internationally.

5. Experience in supplier evaluation/selection, should cost models, contract negotiation and supply base management.

6. Proven cost modeling and industry benchmarking skills, with the experience driving suppliers to minimize Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for Meta.

1. 2+ years of experience in the job offered or related occupations, including: - Enhancing supply chain and supplier performance processes. - Managing global suppliers. - Utilizing cost models and objective-based performance measures. - Sourcing Management or Supply Chain Management with a focus on technology. - EMS/ODM/JDM/OEM business models, consignment and turnkey materials management, cost modeling, supply chain design, and reverse logistics. - Resolving disagreements through planning, collaborating across functional boundaries, and sharing credit within a team environment.

2. Experience and knowledge in Optics, Display, Cameras and Depth Sensing technology.

3. Experience in Display technologies, including semiconductors and flex experience in financial statement analysis to derive should-cost models and cost competitiveness/financial strengths of suppliers, as well as gathering market intelligence.

4. Master's degree or PhD in technical discipline, and/or a MBA degree.

5. Experience with silicon or semiconductor fabs covering technology, equipment, process, infrastructure, and scale.

Public Compensation:

$115,000/year to $170,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
