  • Microsoft Cloud Operations + Innovations (CO+I) is seeking a Business Operation Program Manager, to support the global Energy Team. The successful candidate will play an integral role in developing the processes and tools necessary to mature our global operations and reporting.

    In this role you will bring your ability to develop industry-leading solutions that combine knowledge of business process flow, reporting, tooling architecture, and attention to detail to support the business operations of Cloud Operations + Innovations Global Energy Team. You will work with members and other business stakeholders, to create new operational functionality and mature our existing reporting processes. You will have end-to-end governance across business functions, and will be expected to maintain documentation for flow, underlying systems, and requirements as needed.?

    The Energy Program Manager, Cloud Operations + Innovations will thrive working cross functionally with the Energy Program Managers, Energy Team leadership, Center of Excellence, Engineering, and other business stakeholders that are essential to the success of the growing business. The Energy Program Manager, Cloud Operations + Innovations will support the Global Data Center Energy teams.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop procedures to facilitate requests and increase efficiency responses between the Energy Team and partner teams, creates reporting solutions for the Energy team to give insight and clarity into financials, planning, teams objective tracking.

    • Improve existing reports and tooling programs on the Energy Team by defining program issues, assessing various solutions, and selecting the optimal solution to resolve issues and drive impact for the Energy Team. Leverage data, and performance metrics to demonstrate the value of the Energy teams program and tools. Intake user feedback in order to improve and guide current and future endeavors.

    • Improve the Energy Team tooling systems by supporting the relevant teams in the development to a new tooling system that will provide strategy decision-making insights, reporting and project tracking data.? Drive clarity in issues and strive for simplification and efficiency.

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Materials Science, or related field AND 2+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, sourcing, engineering, operations, or relevant sales-related roles

    • OR Master's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Materials Science, or related field AND 1+ year(s) experience in procurement, supply chain, sourcing, engineering, operations, or relevant sales-related roles

    • OR equivalent experience.

    • Experience in data management, programming, and scripting languages (SQL, VBA, Python, Office Scripts)

    • Experience with power platforms (PowerBI, Power Apps, Power Automate, etc.) and SAP

    Other Requiremnents

    Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in Datacenter or Energy industry preferred.

    • Experience in program management, process management, process improvement.

    • Organizational skills, ability to anticipate the next steps and to work independently while maintaining all deadlines and critical date obligations.

    Sourcing Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.
