    All internship positions are designed to give college students an opportunity to apply techniques learned in an academic setting while obtaining new skills. This is a paid internship offering full-time hours during the summer months.All interns are required to conclude the program by giving a formal presentation on their work. Please note that no relocation assistance is provided for the internship program.

    Hourly rate for this internship is $20/hr.

    Position Summary:

    The Facilities Administrator Intern is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the facilities department and ensuring the smooth running of the organization's facilities. The intern will work closely with the facilities team to provide administrative support, coordinate facilities-related projects, and assist with maintenance and repair requests. This is a full-time, paid internship opportunity for a highly organized, proactive individual with a keen attention to detail and a passion for facilities management.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist with facilities maintenance and repair requests, ensuring timely resolution and communication with stakeholders.

    • Coordinate facilities-related projects, including move management, office reconfigurations, and equipment installations.

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of facilities-related information, such as maintenance schedules, equipment inventory, vendor contacts as well as the equipment database.

    • Provide administrative support to the facilities team, including scheduling appointments, preparing reports and presentations, and responding to internal and external inquiries.

    • Conduct regular facilities inspections and assessments to identify areas for improvement and report findings to the facilities team.

    • Assist with event planning and setup, as needed.

    Qualifications

    Program Requirements :

    • Must be a currently enrolled student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a field relevant to the internship.

    • Must have completed (at minimum) the sophomore year of college.

    • Must have a current GPA of 3.0 or higher.

    • Must be able to work full-time during the duration of the internship program.

    Experience Qualifications:

    • Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program, such as facilities management, real estate, or construction management. A strong academic background in these fields, as well as relevant coursework, demonstrates a solid understanding of facilities management principles and practices.

    • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines. The successful candidate will be able to effectively manage multiple projects and tasks, ensuring that all deadlines are met and that projects are completed within budget and on time.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. The Facilities Administrator Intern will need to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders, including facilities team members, vendors, contractors, and internal customers, and must be able to communicate effectively and professionally.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. The intern will need to be proficient in using Microsoft Office applications to manage facilities-related information and create reports and presentations.

    • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records. The Facilities Administrator Intern must be highly detail-oriented and able to maintain accurate and up-to-date records of facilities-related information, such as maintenance schedules, equipment inventory, and vendor contacts.

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. The intern will be expected to work independently on certain tasks and projects, while also collaborating effectively with the facilities team and other departments.

    • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to effectively manage vendor relationships. The Facilities Administrator Intern will be expected to provide excellent customer service to internal customers, as well as manage relationships with vendors and contractors. A professional, friendly, and customer-focused demeanor is essential.
