    Responsibilities:

    Reporting to the Director, Facilities and Space Planning:

    • Independently handles a wide variety of small to medium size facilities projects including but not limited to renovations, maintenance (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, etc.), building automation systems, policy development, SOP's, janitorial services, energy management, recycling, retro-commissioning, and the like in multiple states, and manages multiple projects simultaneously.

    • Supports the Director, Facilities in project execution for large and complex projects.

    • Manages and oversees all aspects of multi-discipline architectural and engineering projects from concept to completion, including overall safety, permitting, planning, estimating, engineering, Request for Proposals, bid phase services, constructability reviews, material management, and closeout.

    • Cultivates design firms, construction vendors, V/D cabling vendors, maintenance vendors, and the like in all locations where Facilities executes work.

    • Prepares bid documents and secures bids from architectural and engineering design firms, as well as from construction contractors.

    • Supervises the activities of architectural and engineering design firms during the design and construction phases of the construction and renovation projects.

    • Responsible for ensuring assigned projects meet all regulatory requirements from permitting through occupancy and also ensuring construction/renovation contractors submit site-specific safety plans and that they implement proper procedures to confirm that they maintain a safe work site.

    • Monitors the quality of construction work for construction projects to ensure that the intent of construction documents is carried out in accordance with the contract documents as well as overseeing the commissioning process.

    • Pursues corrective action through project team when necessary.

    • Responsible for the verification of work performed and the recommendation for approval and payment of invoices, change orders, and construction payment applications.

    • Manages internal project financials, providing detailed, accurate project cost forecasts and accruals to Director, Facilities.

    • Establishes project teams, coordinates activities of multiple disciplines, and ensures the efficient, cost-effective utilization of resources.

    • Manages all aspects of project communication. Manages team efforts for submittals, schedules, Requests for Information, Requests for Change Orders, meeting minutes, agendas, and related activities.

    Education/ Experience:

    • Required Bachelor's Degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management. Certified project manager, certified construction manager.

    • 10 or more years of combined experience in facilities management, engineering design, facilities project management, and construction management.

    • Proficient with AutoCAD, MS Project, Procore, Excel, Bluebeam.

    • Position requires working onsite at the corporate office, and one must be willing to travel as needed to all locations where Facilities execute work.
