    Position Purpose:

    The Financial Manager supervises the financial activities of his/her perimeter. He/she supervises a finance team and ensures, as a business partner with operations, the proper establishment of the Group's procedure control rules allowing him/her to develop and validate monthly results, end-of-year projections, budget, and long term plan. The Financial Manager works in collaboration with the Shared Services Finance Center to ensure the accuracy of the financial results and the results of his/her perimeter.

    The finance manager communicates results to upper management.

    Capital Program Management (CPM) is a business line focused on executing capital improvements from design/engineering to construction for our Municipal Water customers.

    Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timelines of monthly financial statements.

    • Ensure revenue recognition is done properly using percentage-of-completion method.

    • Ensure the financial reporting of the assigned perimeter. Maintain and improve dashboard to present financial results and relevant KPIs.

    • Work with operations to reach financial objectives (profitability, cash flows).

    • Calculate revenue backlog and forecast revenue/churn/business development project wins.

    • In collaboration with operations, develop and present end-of-year projections, budget and monthly rolling forecast for revenue, and EBITDA by project (approximately 50-70 active projects at a time) and for the full scope.

    • Support perimeter in its development opportunities - Review Job Costs Estimates to ensure profitability is in the line with risk level.

    • Track accounts receivables and implement cash collection strategies.

    • Develop general knowledge of financial issues within the scope.

    • Know the group's financial rules in order to apply them.

    • Participate in the development of processes, tools, methods, and new systems.

    • Work with external auditors for annual audit of financial statements and contracts.

    • One direct report who is responsible of month-end journal entries, invoice creation, updating expense projections on projects.

    Qualifications

    Education/Experience/Background:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance.

    • Good knowledge of Google Suite and/or Office and accountability softwares (SAP or equivalent).

    • At least 8 years experience in a finance role and 3 years in a similar role.

    • Knowledge of IFRS 15 revenue recognition is a plus.
