    To provide technical assistance in the inspection and verification of the records of financial institutions in order to discover and/or prevent violations of Minnesota statutes and regulations; to determine if the institution is operating according to accepted industry practices; and acting properly in their roles as depositories of money and as channels of economic activity.

    Field position requiring extensive overnight or local travel.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • 2 (two) years of experience performing analysis, exercising judgment, and relying on knowledge in audit, risk, or compliance within the financial services industry.

    • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field is equivalent to one (1) year of experience.

    • An Advanced degree Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field is equivalent to eighteen (18) months of experience.

    Applicants who meet the above education/experience requirements will be further evaluated based on the following:

    • Must live within the Metro Banking District (i.e. Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, and Washington counties).

    • Class D Driver's license (a single unit vehicle with a gross vehicle weight of less than 26,000 pounds).

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in financial analysis of business operations.

    • Previous work experience with a financial institution.

    • Experience with financial regulations.

    • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and practices sufficient to analyze and interpret financial data.

    • Dedicated to working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures.

    Physical Requirements

    Requires occasional moving of articles such as boxes, accounting records, laptop computer, and portable printer.
