We deliver our broad range of advisory services through an integrated, collaborative approach between our clients and practitioners.

    The South Manufacturing Industry Lead role is essential in how we bring our industry-relevant advisory services and supporting network to life within the South region. You will be responsible for a portfolio of clients working with the Business Development team to grow Avanade's footprint by bringing manufacturing industry relevance and insights to those clients.

    Acumen across business consulting in manufacturing operations is key for this role. The candidate should understand business strategy, management concepts, operations, and financial analysis. Proven success at creating strategies for improving operations by providing professional expertise to reduce costs, boost performance, and ensure industry longevity/compliance.

    What you'll do

    • Drive market demand in the Manufacturing sector within the South region by collaborating with business development and account teams.

    • Develop industry-led propositions for targeted clients in the Manufacturing sector, showcasing relevance, insights, and expertise to enhance opportunities in the South region.

    • Engage with peers and key leaders to align industry perspectives and resources on opportunities.

    • Lead and support the delivery of Advisory strategy engagements, building trust and long-term relationships with manufacturing clients.

    • Highlight client outcomes and success stories from engagements.

    • Foster talent development within the industry through mentoring and specialized training.

    • Collaborate with the industry team to refine Manufacturing Industry Offerings, leveraging insights and successful client engagements. Contribute to go-to-market content and industry-specific assets.

    • Work with the Regional Advisory Leader to define and enhance industry propositions.

    • Curate and manage Manufacturing industry-specific content, including success stories, for the South region.

    • Engage with clients to identify business challenges and develop tailored advisory strategies based on deep industry knowledge.

    • Partner with global industry practitioners to identify digital opportunities and trends within and beyond the Manufacturing industry.

    • Lead client/account evaluations to pinpoint challenges and opportunities, leveraging industry insights.

    • Collaborate on the development of innovative advisory services and thought leadership, enhancing Avanade's market position and reputation.

    About you

    With more than 7 years of experience in the Manufacturing sector, you stand out as a highly regarded authority and proponent among your professional circle. Your enthusiasm for digital transformation and its application in business showcases your forward-thinking approach, seamlessly integrating with your extensive industry knowledge to uncover unique opportunities. Your proficiency not only lies in your technical and sector-specific insights but also in your exceptional ability to forge strong client relationships. This skill set empowers you to act as a pivotal trusted advisor, steering projects toward fruitful outcomes with a blend of innovation and strategic prowess.

    Required skills and experience

    • Demonstrated expertise in enhancing client relationships and working alongside business development teams to establish a position as a trusted advisor within the Manufacturing sector.

    • Over 5 years of experience in sales or pre-sales roles within the Manufacturing industry or closely related fields, showcasing a deep understanding of client needs and industry dynamics.

    • Possesses at least 7 years of direct experience in the Manufacturing industry, whether in a Manufacturing company or a Consulting role focused on Manufacturing, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the sector.

    • A strong, verifiable network within the Manufacturing sector, evidenced by references and a history of successful collaborations and engagements.

    • Proven experience in leading digital transformation, technology implementation, and strategy projects within the Manufacturing industry, with a clear understanding of the unique challenges and investment considerations needed to achieve digital advancements and align them with business strategies.

    • A passion for staying ahead of trends and thought leadership in the Manufacturing industry, coupled with a solid grasp of the challenges manufacturers face and innovative, technology-driven solutions to address them.

    • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, capable of effectively articulating and advocating for solutions across various stakeholder groups.

    • A proactive self-starter with outstanding presentation skills, embodying extreme accountability and the ability to drive initiatives forward independently.
