  • A Snapshot of Your Day

    The Head of Complex Projects (GS NA PM CP) will have the responsibility to execute complex projects related to fossil & nuclear power plants in North America, along with responsibility for project management of the Steam Turbine repair organization in our manufacturing facility in Charlotte, NC. The role will be based in Orlando.

    The position will oversee the implementation activities in the Region NA for GS Central and Distributed and will develop and implement strategies to ensure the successful execution of projects for Gas Services. This will include all organizational, ramp-up, and administrative tasks required to achieve targets/objectives. The CP Head will collaborate with other departments in GS NA and Global function i.e. GSO C/GSO D to deliver best possible results for Siemens Energy and for the Customers.

    How You'll Make an Impact

    • Leads & Manages employees in the GS NA PM CP department, in collaboration with the respective GS NA management team

    • Act as the Region representative to the Charlotte Manufacturing organization (GS C LGN)

    • Lead & Manage the collaboration between the Region & LGN to meet & exceed our customer expectations with service and on time delivery of components.

    • Develops and implements the strategy for the NA Region including the implementation of synergies required to increase efficiency and optimize operational performance.

    • Organizes project teams, assigning individual responsibilities, developing project schedules, and determining resource requirements

    • Monitoring and reporting on the status of projects including cost, timing, and staffing.

    • Ensuring adherence to internal and external quality standards

    • Identifying/resolving obstacles to completing projects on time and to budget

    • May include work managing multiple, interrelated projects (including business transformation projects)

    • On some projects, the work may include integrating vendor tasks into the project plan and tracking and reviewing vendor deliverables

    What You Bring

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering, sciences, technology, construction & project management, economics, or similar required.

    • 10+ years of Global or cross-cultural management experience is required.

    • 20-30% of travel will be required (across the US, Canada)

    • Experience in leading multiple teams and managers.

    • Experience with cross-cultural teams, creating diverse communities, and building a collaborative GS work environment.

    • Experience in managing external stakeholders (Customers, Vendors, Partners).

    • Transformation Accelerator, Lean Practitioner, & Change Ambassador experience preferred.

    • Proven track record to decisively move forward & familiar with other SE Leadership Essentials.

    • Critical thinking, empathy, assertiveness, active listening, & effective + influential communication skills a must.
