    Job Summary:

    Key Responsibilities:

    • DEI at the Bedside: a project that incorporates educational conversations related to diversity, equity, and inclusion into our inpatient neurology rotations. Some data gathering, survey distribution, and colleague education will be a part of this role.

    • Funding searches: assist with searching for funding opportunities both within and outside the institution to continually support the evolution of the DEI group.

    • Grants/ sponsorships: providing administrative support to keep up with deadlines and submission requirements.

    • In collaboration with manager and DEI team, develops PowerPoint (or similar software) presentations and adds additional content/detail based on team's feedback.

    • In collaboration with the manager, analyze current processes, create, and maintain process flow maps and data tracking, for example, DEI-neurology strategic planning.

    • Enter and maintain data in department databases (e.g., FileMaker Pro, Microsoft Access, and Excel); works closely with Neurology IT to obtain, clean and organize project survey data.

    • Serve as liaison with community leaders, hospital and university staff, and internal and external research institutions.

    • Assist with visa sponsorship applications and processing

    • Other duties as assigned

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Intermediate Level:

    • Bachelor's degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting, education, social services, healthcare administration, public administration, communications, information systems, or a directly related field from an accredited institution

    • A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis

    • One (1) year of professional level experience research, writing, and/or analytical projects in a professional environment.

    Senior Level:

    • Bachelor's degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting, education, social services, healthcare administration, public administration, communications, information systems, or a directly related field from an accredited institution

    • A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis

    • Two (2) years of professional level experience research, writing, and/or analytical projects in a professional environment.

    Principal Level:

    • Bachelor's degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting, education, social services, healthcare administration, public administration, communications, information systems, or a directly related field from an accredited institution

    • A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis

    • Three (3) years of professional level experience research, writing, and/or analytical projects in a professional environment.

    Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Master's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, education, social services, healthcare administration, public administration, communications, information systems, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.

    • Experience analyzing data using high-performance computing.

    • Experience conducting PubMed searches.

    • Experience with electronic data capture systems (e.g., EMR or EHR and data management systems).

    • Bilingual in Spanish.

    • Familiarity with statistical analytical concepts and methods.

    • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.

    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.

    This role will focus on several Health Equity/DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) projects to help progress our Mission, Vision, and Values. This requires a high level of initiative, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and communicate with different groups. This part-time (0.50FTE) position is a new role and will require flexibility and open communication. DEI efforts are department-wide and may require flexible sharing of tasks with other department stakeholders and Administrative Partners. Training will be provided as necessary.

    • This community-based role is expected to work onsite and is located in with the possibility of some remote work.
