    What You'll Be Doing

    Job Summary: Generally responsible for performing Human Resources related duties at the professional level including Teammate relations, training, employment, labor relations, benefits, payroll, affirmative action and employment equity programs. Work will be performed independently with minimal supervision.

    Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

    • Maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.

    • Managing Teammate relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewing.

    • Administering various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains policies and procedures manual.

    • Participating in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.

    • Performing benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, reconciling invoices for payment, and communicating benefit information to Teammates.

    • Administering the company substance abuse program.

    • Participating in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.

    • Assisting in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.

    • Assist with managing company benefit programs and researching new alternatives on an annual basis.

    • Implementing health awareness and wellness programs.

    • Hosting Teammate benefit meetings for the dissemination of new plan information or changes.

    • Overseeing the administration of benefits and coordinating with vendors on any issues.

    • Assisting with the termination process as needed.

    • Assist with administering any compensation programs.

    • Assisting with preparation of affirmative action program; assist in the filing of the EEO-1 report annually; maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.

    Ideal Background

    Education: Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Human Resources or related field from an accredited university and a minimum of 10 years of relevant Human Resources experience is required.

    Certification: PHR/SPHR certification is highly preferred.

    Experience: This position requires 10 or more years of relevant human resources experience.

    • Knowledge of office administration procedures.

    • Extreme attention to detail.

    • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with extreme multi-tasking.

    • Ability to analyze data, make judgments and develop reports.

    • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with Teammates, clients, and vendors.

    • Ability to be discreet in dealing with sensitive situations and maintaining confidentiality in all areas.

    • Ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law.

    • Excellent organizational skills.

    • Ability to manage frequent change, delays or unexpected events.

    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

    • Ability to listen and ascertain the needs of Teammates.

    • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat and other software as needed.
