    Robert Half is immediately looking to identify a HR Talent Manager to lead all recruiting and employee relations activities for a financial institution in Maryland. While this is a remote opportunity, the HR Talent Manager must live locally and in a commutable distance to the office for occasional visits.

    Summary

    The HR Talent Manager will be responsible for managing a HR/Talent team of 4 and all activities related to: recruitment, hiring/terminations, onboarding, employee relations, talent management, predictive staffing analysis & forecasting, strategic planning, KPI & metrics development, training & development, performance management, retention initiatives, disciplinary actions, organizational development, policies & procedures, compliance, etc.

    The HR Talent Manager will collaborate with other leaders on the HR team who oversee compensation, benefits, and payroll as well as partner with the VP of HR and Chief Administrative Officer on special projects or new initiatives.

    The HR Talent Manager needs to be both hands on with comfortability being in the weeds as well as very strategic with experience developing metrics, conducting predictive staffing analysis, developing retention strategies, and/or employee surveys.

    Due to the high volume of spreadsheets and documents written in this role, the HR Talent Manager must have strong writing & technical skills, Excel proficiency, and be good with numbers, metrics, reporting/analysis, and spreadsheets management.

    This is a very collaborative environment that requires someone who can bring new ideas to the table, but can also be patient during the decision making process and the time it may take to get a new initiative, strategy, or process approved and implemented.

    Requirements

    • 5+ years HR management experience with a heavy emphasis on talent management, recruiting, and employee relations.

    • Experience supporting a medium sized organization (400-500 employees) within a corporate/professional setting such as banking, financial services, etc.

    • Analytical with prior experience developing metrics/KPI's, conducting predictive staffing analysis, developing retention strategies, and employee surveys.

    • Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business, or related field is preferred, but will look at equivalent level of experience in lieu of education; Additional HR Certifications are a plus (SHRM-CP or PHR).

    • A balanced leader who is hands on, strategic, collaborative, and communicative; Must be a proactive, big picture thinker and a resourceful, problem solver.

    • Possesses a high degree of professionalism, diplomacy, and business acumen with the confidence to be able to make smart business decisions in the absence of the VP of HR.

    • UKG/UltiPro software experience is a plus; Must be able to operate in multiple programs simultaneously and have the ability to learn new systems quickly and efficiently.

    • Possesses strong writing & technical skills with a proficiency working with numbers/metrics, writing documents, and developing reports and spreadsheets.

    • Ability to pass background check AND credit check (must be in good credit standing with no bankruptcies or liens; on-time payment history, and nothing in collections).
