Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources (HR) Manager in Sherman Oaks, California. In this role, you will be responsible for a wide range of HR and office management tasks, with a focus on timecard and payroll reporting, benefits administration, employee relations, and recruitment. You will also be tasked with overseeing and implementing company policies and ensuring compliance with employment laws.
Oversee all aspects of timekeeping, from vacation and sick benefits to the finalization and processing of bi-weekly payroll.
Administer various human resource plans and procedures for all company personnel; assist in the development and implementation of employee handbook and personnel policies.
Conduct recruitment efforts for various roles; screen and interview candidates, perform reference checks, extend job offers, and conduct new-employee orientations.
Handle benefits administration, including claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, and communicating benefit information to employees.
Manage employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewing.
Maintain company organization charts and the employee directory.
Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to continually improve the efficiency of the department and services performed.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations concerning payroll and employment.
Interpret and administer leave programs and policies in accordance with applicable federal and state employment laws.
Oversee the management of office equipment, including repairs and the day-to-day operations of office facilities.
Coordinate overall administrative and office activities, including company functions.
Participate as needed in special projects.
Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now
Familiarity with HRMS and About Time
Experience in Benefit Functions and Compensation Administration
Knowledge of Compliance and Employee Relations.
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Human Resources (HR) management role
Proficiency in ADP
Experience with ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode
Familiarity with Ceridian and HRMS software
Proficiency in using About Time for time tracking and project management
Knowledge of Benefit Functions and Compensation Administration
Experience in ensuring Compliance within the HR function
Proven track record in establishing and maintaining effective Employee Relations
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
Excellent communication and people management skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Familiarity with labor laws and HR best practices
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
