  • Eaton's IS VEH EMB division ( Automotive/Commercial eMobility ) is currently seeking a Human Resources Manager.

    The expected annual salary range for this role is $91500.03 - $134200.04 a year.

    What you'll do:

    Primary Function:

    The Human Resources Manager (HRM) is responsible for two sites within the Low Voltage and Power Conversion business including Tualatin, Oregon (primary site) and Port Coquitlam, Canada location, plus remote HR support for sales employees in multiple home-based locations.

    The HRM is responsible for all HR-related functions and requirements for these sites representing a unique blend of lab and test facilities, manufacturing, product-line headquarters all located in Tualatin, Oregon (~85 salary and hourly employees); the additional engineering site in Port Coquitlam, Canada (~20 employees) plus the remote sales employees geographically dispersed within the United States.

    Key areas of focus include Recruitment, Employee Relations, Performance, Talent Management, and Leader Coaching. This role will have regular visibility and interaction with the Division Leadership Team and is a manager of people.

    _* This role will require short-term traveling 30%+ mainly within US locations._

    Essential Functions:

    • Partner with business leaders to drive key HR and business initiatives to facilitate journey towards a meaningful and engaging work environment.

    • Be a driving force in ensuring a strong and committed culture of learning, transparency, ethics, passion, accountability, and efficiency.

    • Drive positive employee relations to provide an optimal work environment for all employees.

    • Effectively deploy communication plans and utilize assessment tools (e.g., the employee survey) to determine organizational issues and action plans.

    • Build organizational capability through ownership of talent management processes including acquisition, assessment, performance management and employee development.

    • Manage and develop employee compensation/reward and recognition programs, including benchmarking with Eaton and external marketplace. Support the Sales Incentive Program (SIP) by monitoring progress and milestones, facilitating meetings, and execution of SIP cycle

    • Support plant operations through planning headcount, manning levels, and recruitment.

    • Introduce & implement HR policies & procedures, including performance management processes, in accordance with Eaton standards.

    • Owner of HR metrics, responsible for tracking, reporting, and analyzing data. Also, responsible to ensure accurate people data via regular auditing of relevant systems.

    • Provide leadership guidance and mentoring. Develop and implement solutions to organizational challenges by leading/coaching others through change

    • Help drive employee engagement by providing leadership for Site engagement, wellness, community involvement, and iERG activities

    • Lead investigations and resolve employee relations issues

    • Promote Safety & Continuous Improvement Culture.

    • Participate in Eaton Business Systems (EBS) activities such as an Eaton MESH (Management Environmental Safety & Health) element champion for Emergency Preparedness

    • Serve as the designated Employee Representative in HR for any regulatory or customer audit

    • Consider all applicable legal implications when making business decisions and protect the organization by ensuring compliance with all labor laws, including Federal, State, and municipal.

    Qualifications:

    Basic qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

    • Minimum 4 years progressive HR experience within a Manufacturing environment or graduate of Eaton's Human Resources Leadership Development Program.

    • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in US without any immediate or future company sponsorship.

    Preferred :

    • Experience in a manufacturing environment.

    • Presentation and facilitation knowledge with skills in coaching, training, and developing employees.

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management / Industrial / Labor Relations or Psychology

    • Master's Degree in Business, Human Resource Management, or Industrial & Labor Relations.

    • Experience in HR planning cycles (compensation planning, performance management, succession planning, employee survey, etc.) across the functions. Ensures planning cycles support / feed longer-term strategic HR goals including retention, succession / talent pipelines, diversity, employee engagement, etc.

    • Partners with functional leaders and product line HR peers on organizational design projects and implementation.

    • Previous experience supporting Leadership in accurate headcount forecasting and reporting across functions, in partnership with Finance.

    • Exposure to monthly data analytics of key HR metrics most important to the Functions (HR High 5).

    • Exposure to HR policies and practices comply with the applicable provisions of country and/or federal and state labor laws, as appropriate; partners with country / matrix HR leaders on issue resolution and process execution.

    • Experience with Ethics Office and/or functions on Ethics calls/issues.

    • Preferred candidates local to Tualatin or West Coast US region.
