    Come and join us! The Strategic Centre of Excellence provides specialist Pursuit & Bid Management and capabilities across the Strategic Clients Group. Our team consists of high caliber professionals hired directly from Industry or leading consultancy firms that help our largest and most strategic clients define and address their most complex technological and business challenges.

    You will need to be a hardworking, organized and previously successful Pursuit & Bid Manager. As a leading Cloud provider, we are looking for someone from a similar background who has delivered complex IT/Tech bids from cradle to grave to large Clients or Public Sector. You will work toward fixed deadlines with teams from across Oracle on multiple projects and bids, across a selected set of clients.

    Key responsibilities

    • Lead, challenge and enable pursuit teams to collaboratively work across all stages of the sales life cycle to fulfill a common mission that delivers value to our clients.

    • Lead and encourage a team see the wider perspective of what the customer is trying to achieve i.e. add value, not just be solution led.

    • Responsible for working with large teams across multiple lines of business.

    • Demonstrate a sales orientation with an understanding of bid management standard methodology.

    • Build a strong rapport with senior level management in a large corporate environment.

    • Responsible for delivering pursuits & bids, confidently, to multiple clients, under pressure and to fixed deadlines.

    • Develop plans in liaison with the Industry Value Group, sales team and solution owner and be responsible for leading them through to conclusion.

    • Working in a corporate environment and within a team, being able to matrix develop a team of subject matter authorities, including technology, business process, commercial and legal experts and provide sales process advice & mentorship when required.

    • Drive continuous improvement in program processes, governance and reporting to ensure waste minimization and strong buy-in for the pursuit vision.

    • Deploy best-practice pursuit and bid management principles, tools and methods to ensure that the pursuit achieves cost, schedule, quality and adoption objectives.

    Crucial skills

    • Demonstrable Pursuit & Bid Management experience, working across all stages of the entire pursuit & bid process with a successful record of accomplishment, winning bids in a competitive market.

    • Demonstrable experience of sophisticated pursuit & bids for a technology organization.

    • Previous experience within Bid Management roles for opportunities in excess of $50m TCV.

    • Highly proficient in use of MS Office tools, Confluence.

    • Experienced user of project planning software e.g. MS Project.

    • Demonstrate a sales orientation with an understanding of bid management standard methodology.

    • Experience with bidding bespoke IT solutions, with an ability to think outside of the box.

    • Experience of working with senior level management in a large corporate environment.

    • Outstanding communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with senior executives; this includes written communications.

    • Advanced problem-solving, conflict resolution, active listening, and time leadership skills.

    • Demonstrated success with delivering strategic, global, cross-functional, programs, including planning, scheduling, monitoring and collaborator reporting with multiple tasks in a multifaceted environment.

    Desirable skills

    • Member of Bid Management professional body e.g. Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP).

    • Experience of Shipley bid management standard methodology.

    • 15+ years of hands-on pursuit management / bid management experience in a technology / cloud organization, preferably in a sales or marketing function.
