    About This Job

    Air and Space Force Solutions, a business unit within BAE Systems, has an opening at our Hill Air Force Base, Utah location for an experienced Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO). The selected candidate will join our Information Services team and have an important role in supporting our mission of Strategic Deterrence through continual improvement and innovation. The position will have the following duties and responsibilities:

    • Establish and monitor controls in order to secure our on-premises networks and platforms

    • Innovate and identify opportunities to automate tasks and advance agile and secure solutions

    • Collaborate with leaders, peers and customer partners to maintain a multidisciplinary focus

    • Develop Cybersecurity documentation and conduct peer reviews

    • Provide Cybersecurity reviews of access request forms

    • Work on system hardening verification

    • Provide Cybersecurity support for the change management process

    • Learn and become proficient in Risk Management Framework (RMF)

    Clearance Requirement

    This position requires an active final Secret clearance upon hire date. The applicant must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance. An active Top Secret clearance is preferred.

    Certification Requirement

    The applicant must meet DoD 8570.01-M IAM Level II or higher certification requirements upon hire date.

    Citizenship Requirement

    Pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship.

    Required Education, Experience, & Skills

    Education and Experience Requirements are as follows:

    • HS diploma and 12 years of related experience, or

    • BS/BA and 8 years of related experience, or

    • MA/MS with 6 years of related experience

    • Experience or knowledge of cybersecurity, networks, system components, system protocols, COTS technology, and software development

    • Experience developing external customer relationships and ability to communicate cybersecurity concepts and requirements with senior leaders

    • Effective organizational, time management, and communications skills (written and verbal)

    Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

    Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills:

    • IAM Level III certification (CISSP or equivalent)

    • General understanding of computer networks, hardware, databases, applications, security components, computer operations, and operating system maintenance

    • Understanding of the DoD environment and familiarity with the DoD Acquisition System

    • The ability to mediate differing perspectives and develop consensus relating to cybersecurity principles and regulations; ability to build bridges across organizational boundaries, and the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical leaders across large complex organizations

    • An individual with high integrity, strong work ethic and initiative, and capable of building strong, trusting relationships

    Pay Information

    Full-Time Salary Range: $75510 - $128340

    Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
