Our technologies are the key ingredient when it comes to connected embedded systems, with our technology being present in over 120 million vehicles on the road today and the secure and crisis communications solutions to governments and organizations around the globe.Are you the person we're looking for?The IoT Practice Lead, Auto Industry acts as the subject matter expert and thought leadership advocate for our professional services, responsible for developing, managing, and expanding the practice providing industry expertise to both internal and external leaders. The Practice Lead has a deep knowledge of the auto industry and uses this to help develop strategic solutions for the clients, working with our BTS sales, third party partners, and client leaders. This person will network with industry leaders, BTS sales and client leadership, current clients, and potential clients to understand and communicate current and future trends. The Practice Lead becomes a critical aspect of the sales pursuit process, working with BTS sales and client leaders to create presentations and proposal responses demonstrating our services capabilities and expertise to meet client needs. Our services build upon our solutions for automotive OEM's, Tier 1's and major ecosystem influencers spanning autonomous driving and mobility, cybersecurity, safety, AI, and innovative in-vehicle technologies.In this role you will: * Identify, cultivate and maintain relationships with key client stakeholders - major OEM, Tier 1 and ecosystem influencers in the region. * Grow services business in the auto industry for the region. * Drive thought leadership within the industry and within BlackBerry, including the development of the services strategy to support these initiatives. * Drive services opportunities, including solution planning, deal shaping, estimating and pricing * Should be able to lead cross functional discussions to analyze the requirements and brainstorm the solutions. * Adept at determining requirements by interviewing clients, reviewing requirements and facilitating working sessions. * Adept at creating business process models based on the requirements * Adept at mapping industry trends and best practices to the client's unique requirements and processes to determine applicable fit and familiar with software development life cycle for automobiles. * Manage large delivery programs consisting of multiple projects, work streams, phases or releases * Assist in development of point of views, white papers, and other knowledge capital * Travel required (40-60%)Ideally you will have: * Minimum Bachelor's degree (e.g. Computer Science, CIS/MIS, Engineering) * Minimum of 8 years of experience in Tier One and/or OEM business development or consulting * Minimum 5 years of experience selling and delivering auto industry services to OEMs or Tier 1s * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Experience working for the Big 4 or an auto industry SI is highly desired * Ability to lead a program or project team and counsel others is a must * Experience with legal and commercial negotiations#LI-DA1 Job Family Group Name: Sales Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 We are BlackBerry, a global mobile communications leader who revolutionized the industry with its introduction in 1999.
