    The IT Project Manager - Infrastructure services position leads project planning and execution teams, using both Waterfall and Agile methodologies, to deliver complex IT infrastructure projects. Responsible for the planning, execution, and management of IT projects within the defined scope. Managing and coordinating a multitude of IT Infrastructure project activities within the constraints of human, schedule, and financial resources, adjusting to changing priorities as needed to ensure the successful completion of projects.

    The Project Manager will manage projects for the Global Infrastructure Service Organization focusing on Mergers, Acquisitions and Divestitures. The project manager manages program organization, planning, execution, and project control methodology to ensure consistent results, including:

    • Plans/Roadmaps

    • Scope, Issues and Risk Management

    • Budgets and Deliverables

    • Ensures all pre-requisites are completed by Day 1 for all IS Workstreams and leads the technical teams in development of long-term integration plans.

    The PM will provide sponsor updates, escalations, executive updates, master status report consolidation and ensures all milestones/deliverables are met or reasons for delay.

    Additionally, the PM will be responsible for leading the efforts to update the MA&D Infrastructure Playbook. The purpose of the playbook is to provide BTS-IS with a set of best practices and approaches for executing the integration or separation of IT services to align with Abbott Merger, Acquisition & Divestiture Programs. The playbook is a living document that should be updated during and after completion of key MA&D activities or as Infrastructure Technologies change.

    What You'll Work On

    • Responsible for multiple infrastructure projects in support of MA&D activities including Telecom, Network, desktop, servers, Identity & access management.

    • Plan, execute and manage all aspects of project management at the department or division level, including initiation, planning, execution, control, and closure.

    • Works with business and IT management to establish and gain consensus on project goals, objectives, and deliverables.

    • Develops and executes a work plan obtaining authorized resources to ensure all activities are performed.

    • Create and manage project scope, budget, resource planning, and management reporting & metrics.

    • Expedite, manage, and coordinate a multitude of interrelated IT project activities within the constraints of human and financial resources and changing priorities to ensure the successful completion of projects.

    • Able to build strong cross-functional partnerships with business stakeholders, IT Business Relationship Managers, Internal IT resources, and External integration partners and contractors.

    • Assess the degree to which changes to scope, issues and risks will affect projects working with department, divisional management, and sponsor to gain agreement for resolution.

    • Measure performance to assure the project is progressing as compared to original plan and budget.

    • Communicate project progress by producing project reports to provide timely and accurate project status and decision support information to Project Team, Department, Customers, and IT Leadership.

    • Coordinate resources to ensure project needs are addressed and effectively assign tasks and deliverables to team members based upon their abilities.

    • Upon project completion, obtain final project approval from sponsor and stakeholders, perform appropriate closure tasks, and gather lessons learned.

    • Directly or indirectly supervises and motivates cross-functional project team of technical SMEs and third-party resources.

    • Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures

    • Makes decisions that impact projects or Departments. Influences or has final decision authority for project level, budget, and activities.

    Position Accountability/Scope:

    • Manages Global Projects at the department or division level.

    • Responsible for financial estimates and tracking of program spend.

    Experience and Education:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

    • At least 6-10 years experience in managing IT Infrastructure projects on an enterprise and/or global scale.

    • Project leadership using Waterfall, SCRUM, and Agile methodologies.

    • Must be able to lead projects that could include various types of technologies including, but not limited to: Network, Unified Communications, Telecom/Voice, Data Center & Physical Infrastructure, Hosting (Server/Storage/Tools/Cloud) , Collaboration, Mobility, Conferencing and Shared Services, and End Points.

    Preferred Skills:

    • PMP certification is a plus.

    • Experience managing MA&D programs is a plus.

    • Experience managing 3rd party suppliers.

    • Strong analytical skills, including demonstrated proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. PowerBI a plus.

    • Ability to accomplish results through others, particularly by establishing relationships, effective controls, and monitoring processes.

    • Proven negotiation and influencing skills.

    • Strong collaboration and partnering skills.

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas in easy-to-understand business terms to senior leaders.

    • Ability to design and optimize processes.

    • Demonstrated ability to assess customer/client needs, creatively approach solutions, decide, and influence appropriate courses of action.

    • Experience of indirect management - managing by influence as opposed to positional authority.

    • Ability to work within a diverse, performance-based team environment.

    • Proven leadership skills, including the ability to lead meetings and communicate course of action.

    The base pay for this position is $95,000.00 - $190,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
