Description We are seeking a Staff Accountant based in Johnston, Iowa to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in our financial accounting team, ensuring the execution of accounting processes in compliance with company policies, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and U.S. GAAP standards. You will also be responsible for assisting with the development, implementation, and documentation of accounting processes and procedures.
Support the financial accounting team ensuring timely execution of accounting processes in an effective manner and in compliance with Company policies, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and U.S. GAAP.
Responsible for assisting with the development, implementation, and documentation of accounting processes and procedures.
Lead in researching and resolving discrepancies related to general ledger account reconciliations, and recommend process changes to avoid on-going issues.
Review accounting tasks with a continuous focus on improving processes and enhancing financial controls.
Act as a liaison between Accounting team and the business - Communicating and Educating.
Ensure the financial results are presented accurately and timely; with corresponding analytics.
Ensure timely and correct execution of accounting activities for vendors and lessees to achieve accurate and up-to-date administration and financial reporting.
Maintain accurate customer credit records and process customer credit applications.
Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments.
Use excellent critical thinking and analytical skills to manage multiple deliverables within agreed timeframes. Requirements - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet programs
Strong communication and documentation skills
Ability to perform financial reporting and analytics
Experience with account reconciliation and general ledger
Knowledge of finance and human resources administration
Familiarity with "About Time" software and workstation support
Ability to perform ad hoc financial tasks as needed
Experience with implementation of financial control procedures
Ability to liaise with vendors and handle reconciliations
Understanding of benefit functions and compliance requirements
Strong query handling abilities
Ability to review financial documents for accuracy and compliance
