    salary: $45,000 - $50,000 per year

    Responsibilities

    • Support the Senior Accountant/Controller in carrying out the responsibilities of the Finance /Accounting Department.

    • Relieve the Senior Accountant/Controller of certain responsibilities that will allow him to spend agreater portion of his time on Financial Statement preparation and analysis, Budget and Varianceissues, and Forecasting.

    • Prepare all general ledger entries; reconciling accounts.

    • Help with the evaluation of internal controls.

    • Review general ledger accounts.

    • Prepare and adjust journal entries.

    • Post monthly, quarterly and yearly accruals.

    • Conduct monthly reconciliations of all bank and credit card accounts to ensure their accuracy.

    • Post daily cash receipts and make bank deposits.

    • Analyze information and options by developing spreadsheet reports; verifying information.

    • Help with field work for financial and operational audits.

    • Research and correct account discrepancies.

    • Assist in preparation of monthly financial statements

    • Assist in preparation of annual budget.

    • Assist with local, state, and federal government tax filings and other reporting requirements.

    • Assist in tracking and providing company Certificates of Insurance (COI's) to clients.

    • Assist with annual 401(k) audit.

    Skills

    • ERP (3 years of experience is preferred)

    • Excel (5 years of experience is required)

    • Account Reconciliation (2 years of experience is required)

    • General Ledger (2 years of experience is required)

    • Journal Entries (3 years of experience is required)

    • Accruals (3 years of experience is required)

    • Bank Reconciliations (3 years of experience is required)

    • payment posting (3 years of experience is preferred)

    • Financial Statements (3 years of experience is required)

    • Audit - Internal (3 years of experience is preferred)
